Yeah... it was a very bad performance...He was way too slow footed to cut the ring properly to set up his power punches and at times was so eager to ko Innanuzi that he pushed and slapped with his punches...And he did'nt go to the body almost the whole fight...
Wrong, Farmy. The two were completely different. Kayode was very lucky to get the win and you could argue it was a robbery with that ridiculously wide scorecard. He really turned up bust against Iannuzzi, after lots of people had started getting really prematurely excited about him because of his power. Franco, on the other hand - a guy who doesn't have the ticket-selling breathtaking KO power and therefore hadn't generated as much buzz - took a big step up and won a close but clear fight over a game Miranda.
:good Franco didn't shine, but he did indeed win...and he gained some valuable experience and learned some hard lessons.
he is just very raw and has not learned how to cut the ring off yet. ianuzzi still ran like a school girl fleeing a flasher
I'd seen some red flags about his ability to be outboxed when Kayode fought Ed Perry, who had more success against him than he should've (credit Perry for that, too) before he was stopped in the 6th. I wouldn't put him in with a top 20 guy yet, no way.
Franco was knocked down, yet Franco's referee did not call it a knock down, even though it was a clear knock down shown on replay. There are calls for a rematch, I hope so. Franco was hurt also.
One missed knockdown call does not automatically a robbery make (nor necessitate a rematch). It was tougher than expected, but Luis won it going away. He'd only win wider now that he knows what Leonilo is all about.
