INTERESTING... In parallel with Ioka today, Tatsuyoshi was the younger guy with the more 'novice' record...and was the puncher in the match-up...and his opponent had lost twice but never by stoppage... :think However, Yakushiji had a few inches on him...whereas Yaegashi will actually be the shorter man in the ring.
That was a nice treat, actually. A rare glimpse into Japanese fistic lore for us Westerners. We might not otherwise have known what an important and obviously cherished memory that event was. Also, solid action - even if it was on two decade tape delay. :yep
If this goes the distance, I'm going to maybe barely make it to my train on time. :err ...and that's assuming the pageantry really is starting in ~5 minutes.
