Alvarado is still running up to Ioka, boldly sticking his jab out but finding Ioka's head less. More counter hooks by Ioka, who is moving and bobbing up and down as he leads Alvarado around the ring slipping his jab and not standing in with him.

Round 3

Alvarado is walking diligently forward, almost reckless in his desire to stay close. Ioka is finding the mark with his counter left hook, setting it up with an up-jab taking aim. Ioka ducks under Alvarado's shots with his guard up to his chin as both fists massage his scalp. Alvarado keeps moving in, hurling overhand rights in behind the jab and making light contact but not scoring cleanly as Ioka busts up his face with patient counter hooks.

Round 4

Alvarado has puffing over his eye, checked before they answer the bell. Ioka backs up and throws short left hooks and right uppercuts with Alvarado pressing onto him. Alvarado is popping Ioka with the 1-2 on the face and slamming his own uppercut into Ioka's body. Alvarado is shoving Ioka across the ring, using his elbows and forearms to prod him in the ribs while leaning down on him. Ioka is giving up ground and getting hooked across the right cheek as he shells up and crouches at mid-range. Alvarado slaps at him stepping in and launches several uppercuts once leaned inside.

Round 5

Alvarado is weaving and leaning to either side as Ioka hooks up at him, dodging some but getting caught by a few skidding up his chest and into his face. Ioka is backing up and getting brushed with Alvarado's long jab and flailing combinations dropped from above. Big counter hook by Ioka. Overhand right by Alvarado, flush! Another great round of action.

Round 6

Alvarado is spearing out long jabs, practically leaping in and leaving no pause as he winds uppercuts into the stomach of Ioka. Hunkering down low, Ioka hooks intently at the body. Alvarado won't slow down. Overhand rights by Alvarado crashing through Ioka's guard. BIG left hook on the jaw by Ioka, turning Alvarado's head sharply, single best punch of the round, but Alvarado continues to drown him in leather, undaunted.

Round 7

Alvarado is cautious to start, watching on the outside with his right glove up by his cheek and leaned over to his right as Ioka puts out some feeler jabs inches from his face. Alvarado sweeps out a big left hook, ducked and countered with body shots. Ioka pushes out with both hands, bracing as he takes a light shuffling jog around Alvarado and attacks with blindside left hooks or up-shot rights. Alvarado is getting countered every time he opens up, now. Beautiful inside movement and timing by Ioka, occasionally pausing to grind in on Alvarado working stiff little body shots in combination.

Round 8

Alvarado is getting picked off as he comes in, with Ioka landing the jab to thread the needle as Alvarado flurries nonstop. In between punches, Ioka is squatting with his upper body ramped forward, gloves wrapped tightly around his mandible, exposing only the very uppermost part of the head. Alvarado is throwing the proverbial kitchen sink at him, mostly arm punches, but lots of them in an uninterrupted flow, jabs, straight rights, uppercuts, slapping everywhere to get at Ioka's face but mostly landing on the gloves. Counter hooks by Ioka sitting back. Ioka twists to his right, slipping a few of Alvarado's crop-dusting flurries, and twists in with a counter uppercut to the chest. Alvarado throws a big left hook and they both land at the same time as Ioka counters!

Round 9

Alvarado is foregoing straight punches now, dispensing with the 1-2 in favor of lead left hooks and looping rights bypassing the guard wide and clipping Ioka on the ear. Once inside Alvarado is plugging Ioka on the belly with heavy uppercuts even as Ioka digs with his own and plants short counter left hooks on Alvarado's face. Ioka still connects with higher accuracy, but Alvarado is regaining control, imposing his strength and making Ioka clam up a bit and surrender ground under sheer volume of blows.

Round 10

They pause to check the swelling on Alvarado's face even before they can meet in center ring as they answer the bell. Time in. Alvarado is jabbing in between Ioka's gloves and tossing long uppercuts to the body. 1-2 on the face by Alvarado. Ioka is swatting down at shots with his left glove and looking to counter with a quick right. Big left hook by Ioka, timing Alvarado when he throw one. Alvarado's gum shield is out. Time in. Body shots by Alvarado. Flush counter hooks by Ioka, forearms raised and face protected with his elbows reaching down to his belly as he curls up in a tight defensive ball. Chopping rights mixed in by Ioka as he repeatedly slams Alvarado with the left hook coming in.
