They truly are. This is the kind of bout ESPN + should try and televise.

I went with Ioka by decision. That being said, Ancajas has become quite the road warrior the last few years. Overall, Ioka has beaten better fighters and if he isn't starting to show age then his best beats Ancajas' best.

    Agreed!
Hopefully he isn't too worn down and also feel a decision win.
    May the best fighter win!

Casimero is the real road warrior. He fought in that Argentina riot. His younger brother died that week and he didn’t want to fight. He said to his mom.I didn’t want to fight because his heart wasnt in it.His bro just died.Went thru with it.Then Lazarte was dirty Af and the Argentine fans were just animals.God willing he fought thru it all and won.Very incredible story.

Is Ancajas that good? Looks like a poor man's Pac to me. And what's with the draw on his record?

Two draws...assuming you mean the more recent one? (the first was a "technical draw", basically a NC due to a fight-stopping cut two minutes in, early in his career)

That isn't too damning, drawing with Agustín Alexandro "Peque" Santiago Barrios. He lost a MD to Gary Antonio Russell last night on the Showtime card. Santiago's alright. I'd be more concerned about his other blemish, losing to Mark Anthony Nipaya "El Heneral" Geraldo, but that was via MD and was nigh on a decade ago.

Ancajas is good and fits in anywhere in the super fly top 15...just not quite top 5 material.

On paper. In reality, Santiago should have won 96-94, the best argument RAR has is a draw.

That would make a hell of a sitcom premise though.

"On the next episode of Gennady & Jerwin, a hilarious mistranslation leads the boys to a rope bondage parlor instead of the cat cafe!"
