I thought Rodriguez took the first but Inoue obviously lowered the boom in the second and that's all she wrote.

It was a straight 116-112x3 UD by the way. Want me to edit your post?

Ring rust kills timing of fighters and makes it very difficult in the early rounds, the only fighter who seemed immune to this was Andre Ward, had some long layoffs but that didn't affect his performance in the ring.

God bless Kazuto! The legend beats on. That resume keeps getting more and more stellar. Will have to watch this one later. Ioka is always in good fights. When he's on, he's the perfect fighter to me. Like, gives-me-a-stiffy kind of perfect fighter.

Thanks again for the posting everybody! Woo.

I'm in work currently so I couldn't see the fight, was it a good one fellas? Seems like Ioka had one hell of a tough fight here.

How did Rodriguez only manage to win a SD over a 15-13-4 guy in his previous fight who had lost three on the spin and was 2-7-1 in their last 10 fights but push a P4P top 10 ranked Ioka down to the wire? I'm assuming either that 15-13-4 guy is a lot better than his record suggests or that the judging for that one was off?

I really hope tonight’s performance was due to rust and not anything permanent. Hope he fights again in a few months. He looked better vs Tanaka I felt.

Rodriguez had 4-5 clear rounds, so those two judges are either total morons or corrupt. There's no way Ioka took all of the close rounds. 115-113 is a bit of a stretch, but not the most egregious due to the close nature of many of the rounds. Ioka is very beloved around these parts, so I think a lot of people are choosing to ignore that he got a bit of a gift today.

Maybe he prepared well for this fight and didn't give a f about that 15-13 guy, shades of Toney-Tiberi.

Eh, not sure if it was a gift, but the scorecards were definitely shocking. A Draw, Split Draw or a point either way is all acceptable.

Absolutely, who knows if Pac loses to Ugás had they fought 25 weeks after he fought Thurman, instead of 25 months after.

Nor would Fury have looked as sharp either time against Wilder if not for having a couple of tune-ups leading up to both.

Nah, even in his prime Chihuas always has run hot & cold. He got a gift draw over Jomar Fajardo in his early twenties a very short time after having been a world titlist.
