Rodríguez is clinging to Ioka like seran wrap. Lots of ugly stand-up wrestling and 'dirty boxing'. This manner of fighting favors Rodríguez far more than the champion, but he is too tired to really capitalize with any sustained effectiveness. Ioka is kept from doing his best work from bell to bell, however, completely smothered and manhandled. Rodríguez getting in enough chippy shots among the fouls to probably take it.

I've got him hanging on by a thread with a 1-point lead and don't think judges are likely to be any more generous. Rodríguez's aggression alone is probably putting him up.

 

Round 10

Rodríguez is swarming and grasping onto Ioka's shoulders or driving his own low into the chest, and then teeing off with hooks on the outer wings of either eye socket. Ioka with periods of nice hard counter punching but always short on volume, clipped by Rodríguez flopping into him and ramming him about the ring. Ioka shuts down offensively for the most part during the infighting, only comfortable when there's a little separation.
