There were a lot of close rounds here, but Rodriguez had more clear ones. Would be ok with a draw, but if someone won it's Rod.

Good scrap. Way closer than I expected.

Rather wide. One scorecard for Rod would have been fair.

A little wide, but not pissed with that result. It was a rough match to score.

No surprise there. Draw card was the most accurate.

Not too bad. Ioka barely squeaked by with the win for me. Not a robbery by any means though.

116-112 Rodriguez - Draw is acceptable. Ioka looked **** tonight. He dodged a bullet.

Same, the good news is that he really seems to care about keeping that NYE show tradition alive, which means he ought to be in again in 3 months.

That's assuming the issue here was being rusty, and not ...shot. Which is also possible. All due respect to Chihuas, he really had no business pushing Ioka this hard.

116-112 cards are a bit shaky. Rodriguez won more clear rounds.

I came damn close to giving him the 8th. So a 1 point win for Ioka would've been fine. But 8-4, **** that. I think 8-4 is a little wide for Rodriguez, but not that much of a stretch.

Same here. The three Japanese judges were maybe a tad over-generous (as I think my scorecard is already giving Ioka every inch of room that was available to him) but he did enough to hang on and retain at least. Rod gave him an unexpected scare, though.
