    Coming up on New Years.

I'm just about to watch and score the first one, but before I do I'm curious... Was this a fairly judged bout, or a case of home cooking?

I've heard it said that Reveco is something of a tucked away gem of a fighter, under appreciated. Getting ready to digest footage of both Ioka and Reveco.

On a related note, how does the rematch go?

Fair decision. Ioka got the better of it with his superior reach and cleaner counter punching.

    Reveco's alright.

Ioka should win a decision in the rematch in another closely contested technical fight.

Was the Ioka vs Yaegashi decision fair? The scorecards make that one look razor thin on paper.

    Ioka-Yaegashi was a toss-up, Reveco vas a fair decision.

So no one favoring Reveco to go into the lions den again and walk away with the belt? :think

Had Yaegashi by a round I think, so can't argue too much (and lets not forget that Yaegashi is fantastic himself).

Reveco apparently came close to no-showing at the media work out, doing about 4 minutes of his work out (as opposed to 90 minutes ahead of their first bout).

I thought Akira deserved the nod against Ioka, myself, close but clear.

None given, Kazunori Ioka (Ioka's dad and trainer) said he thought Reveco was "nervous" but their is a suspicion he's either out of shape or just being moody

Neither are good before a fight on the very highest level, especially that far detached from home, the culture shock, the food, time zone difference, etc.
