Silvestre is trying to force a late stoppage here.

    Ryo's mug has been shredded.

    Were there any butts, Tony?

From the way Silvestre is coming forward landing whatever he wants it wouldn't surprise me if all that damage were from legal punches...

Did you happen to have the same technical difficulties as me... watching some shitty Japanese news show in both Japanese & English at the same time. Before the fight magically appeared all of a sudden? :think

    Hate it when that happens!

OK, going by your comments and some on Twitter - and, well, seeing what a bad state Miyazaki was in during the championship rounds while a confident and hungry Silvestre marched him down and beat him within an inch of his life - yeah...it would seem the kid is damn lucky to still have both his title and his zero.

He did bravely jump in with his chin buried to make a stand with hooking combos in spots, and then withdraw before Silvestre could execute him. It was smart, gutsy stuff down the stretch - but he was taking a pounding and from the state of his face (and the body language and balance of ring generalship between them) that had been the case for a long time already.

I've watched the last three rounds...

Miyazaki is confused and is not boxing on the back foot successfully at all. Silvestre is cutting the ring off, outjabbing him, pressuring him, and beating him up.

Miyazaki eye is bad shape and he's losing the fight...

Slavedriver expects me to work at least 5 hours of a 8 hour day. I think there are laws that prevent such kinda crap from happening in modern societies :bart

Yeah, there were at least two butts. The first one in the 2nd round, I think. He got cut from it. And a really bad one in the 5th, I think.

    Rematch!

Unless Miyazaki took 6 or more of the first 9 (and going by the reports of Tony Camonte and pretty much anyone scoring on Twitter, he didn't) then he was extremely fortunate here.

    Rounds 10, 11, & 12 were all borderline 10-8 to Silvestre.

Yeah, Silvestre was dominating the last 3 rounds. However, I think Ryo just holding on to his title is not necessarily a bad decision. I can see him just winning. Could see Silvestre just ahead, too, but it was a close fight, whichever way it went.

    Here come Ioka and Sithmorseng.

Slow first round. Ioka wins it due to some decent punches that connected.
