Never mind. :verysad The entire card was over before TBS started their broadcast (which, on top of being 100% delayed, is closed-feed meaning you are only watching if you are in Japan) The result is on Boxrec.
He is tough. He went the distance twice with El Nica Concepción, dropped just once through eighteen rounds.
It finished over an hour ago, yeah, before TBS even began airing the card. No, outside Japan nobody is watching it. (but people in Japan are, so I won't spoil the result until they see it on TBS)
I am, Ioka doesn't look likely to win a world title at Flyweight YET. I think he still needs another fight or two to mature into the division. Got to say I was shocked to see the disparity in size from the weigh in yesterday. http://www.asianboxing.info/asian-news/kazuto-ioka-towers-over-pablo-carillo-at-weigh-in Bonus picture from another Japanese weigh in: http://boxingnews.jp/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/nitta.png
I think we all know result. Even we know this not live. Fuji TV made mistake in not showing the Inoue card live. Hopefully TV change soon.
In round 5 now. Ioka picking off Carrillo with jabs and making the most of the size difference. He is still waiting too long as he did at times against Amnat. I'd suggest he avoids a fight with Amnat and looks for the Reveco/Yodmongkol winner (WBA). Skilled but making some silly mistakes that Estrada and Gonzalez would really punish him for.
Ioka stepping up the pace in round 7, love the Japanese commentators when one of their fighters goes to the body. When Ioka lets his hands go and fights inside he looks a better fighter though still feel he needs "more Flyweight seasoning". Punched the gum shield straight out of Carrillo's mouth.
