Fourth bout shown and first that was actually listed on the fight card. Both making their pro debuts. Rebecca is presumably Ghanaian, and Fahey is Scottish like the headliner/co-promoter.

Another that's Brit vs. local...but search me who's supposed to be the favorite. Peers' pro record is 0-2, and Lamptey's is 1-13.

    Round 1

McAllister is sidling out calmly to center ring and throwing jabs off the hip, left shoulder melting low and face turned away clockwise. Huge size difference apparent off the bat - McAllister looks every bit the blown-up lightweight and Codjoe more of a drained super middleweight, with twain met at 154. McAllister is circling left and playing keepaway, exposing his stomach every now and then by lifting his arms exaggeratedly, daring Codjoe to lunge in with a body jab. Codjoe obliges, but can barely even graze the fleet-footed McAllister despite being nine years his junior. Very leaden gait from Codjoe, just following McAllister around the ring, dipping side to side, and occasionally throwing a jab at the body or lead right up top falling in. McAllister clinching and working the body until the ref orders a break. Ugly on the inside, boring on the outside - uneventful first round overall.

    10-9 McAllister

    Round 2

McAllister is happy to make Codjoe reach and miss, using quick lean-aways from the waist up, and pulling his neck out and off-alignment with his shoulders before snapping in with counter jabs as Codjoe is retracting. Lots of jumping in and holding by McAllister to cap off leading his foil on merry slow-motion chases around the ring. Fair bit of fouling going on the inside, ref not really giving either man a hard time about it yet.

    10-9 McAllister

    20-18 McAllister

Thanks for the correction  (and spoiler :sisi1 - not your fault, I had walked home from the library during Peers vs. Lamptey assuming there'd still be more fights before the main event and when I pulled up the Facebook stream again on my laptop it was already round 5...so I was playing catch-up hoping none would be the wiser. Didn't yet know the result because it hadn't yet happened when I rewound the feed...funny that it ended very shortly afterward, though)

    Round 3

Codjoe is giving some ground now, which is emboldening McAllister to rush in and hack at him with overhand rights. Codjoe is trying to meet him with chopping blows with both fists as he jumps in, but they're just collapsing into clinches without either of them landing anything too cleanly. Codjoe grazes the brow of McAllister with a three piece combo at mid-range just before the bell.

    10-9 McAllister

    30-27 McAllister

    Round 4

McAllister is crab-walking in on Codjoe, and drawing the pail up from the bottom of the well (that is, down by his knees) before flicking a fly-catching left jab out into Codjoe's face, very loosely. Codjoe is letting himself get walked into the ropes and then winging big hooks at the head while straightening up to his full height from a slouch. McAllister is catching them on his raised right arm, then jerking his head away from Codjoe's plumbing jabs, laughing at him. McAllister is showing a jab but not stepping through with it, just a feint to get Codjoe backing up. When he does McAllister jumps in with a triple hook bashing into the guard and partially snubbing Codjoe on the nose. More flurries by McAllister as Codjoe offers nothing offensively to escape the ropes. McAllister with a chopping right hand from above followed by a left upper-hook jumping in, and Codjoe holds. Interesting stance by Codjoe, leaving his chin exposed but leaving his arms wide at his sides, elbows flayed, protecting his flanks but not his middle abdomen.

    10-9 McAllister

    Round 5

McAllister is still having fun in there, toying with Codjoe, hoisting up his guard to flash a little belly at him and tantalize Codjoe into jabbing the body, only to tummy-tuck and run, then backhanding his left arm upward to dolphin-breach and splash away Codjoe's headhunting combos when he switches tacks. McAllister walks Codjoe into a corner while barely throwing any punches, just using generalship and staying in front of him making him miss, then when Codjoe is good and trapped leaning in on his tiptoes and throwing flurries at the head. Codjoe gets in one good jab on the nose between McAllister's gloves and McAllister claps and nods appreciatively before plowing into him again. Wild hooking flurry by Codjoe misses and he needs to hold onto McAllister by the scruff of the neck to keep his own balance, smashing his own backside into the corner turnbuckle and pulling McAllister in with him.

    10-9 McAllister

    50-45 McAllister

    Round 6

McAllister is ducking the jab and coming up swinging off a bent-knee weave. Codjoe is sticking the counter jab and backing up but not really taking serious aim, more a stay-away punch. McAllister disrespecting him, just barging in the front door slinging high hooks from outside. McAllister perhaps lands an unseen body shot? - as there is a moment of separation where nothing previously seemed to be happening but Codjoe looks winded and lays himself over the top rope. Protect yourself at all times comes into play as McAllister darts in and pops him in the mouth with a jab. Codjoe goes down to spare himself any further punishment, but not a real hard knockdown or anything. Codjoe does look near quitting. McAllister senses it and presses in, scoring jabs and shallow uppercuts, picking his spots and threading his fists in between and around Codjoe's gloves. It starts pouring rain abruptly, as Codjoe is put down again in a corner. He beats the count at eight but is waved off.

    TKO6!!
