Why do they have legions of fans following them around then? Why did the media report their losses as huge upsets? They were touted as top prospects before they had proved themselves to be anything other than novices.
His only fans are his friends, family and people from his town, if people from his town weren't allowed at his fights there would be no on there to support him. He gets hardly any coverage from the media. He's maybe been in the sports section of a newspaper once or twice in the last 4 years as a possible prospect, but I've never seen it. The only newspaper he's been mentioned in is his local one. The only time he's seen on TV is when he fights, he might have been on his local news once or twice. Outside of his local area no one knows who he is. He'll still have his army of support for his other matches too, whether he wins or loses, they're just getting behind their local lad.
How would I know their names? If you watch their fights you can see for yourself. Also, all you have to do is Google them and read stuff like 'top prospect Frank Buglioni loses in upset'.
Because you said commentators and fans were hyping them. So you should be able to name at least 4 commentators that are talking ****. Otherwise your just gassing and trolling and taking joy in people taking a loss which is sad
Good post - Buglioni has never been over hyped, he's actually had quite little publicity. Just because he's a big ticket seller, doesn't mean he's got hype around him. Was shocked at the loss though, I was at the copper box the other month when it was head lined by Fury & Chisora, I thought Buglioni looked very good that night you could see the improvements.
Easy to look good when you are fighting tomato cans. Clearly has a glass jaw if a MW can do that sort of damage to him.
Glass jaw? Buglioni hasn't got a glass jaw, what he has are glaring defensive shortfalls. Buglioni took lots of flush shots without going down, but with Buglioni's Defensive errors he was making there's only so many flush/hard shots a fighter can take. Nothing to do with 'glass jaws'. get a life!
Course it is.. but that night the way he was putting his punches together, cutting the ring off in that fight you could see the improvements he'd made from say last year. Back to the drawing board now though.
