I think it was more the fact he got him right in the chest and winded him rather than 'incredble power'. It was perfectly placed, the chin shot didn't bother Andrade that much it just seemed to make him more reckless than usual.

    Bute was very good tonight.

I like Pavlik, but Bute looks like he has the skills to give Pavlik ALOT of problems.

Bute brings a lot more money to the table then Paul Williams who couldn't attract flies to a pile of ****. (He's still one of my favorite fighter)

I think we'll see Bute-Pavlik in the first half of 2010. If HBO wants it. It will happen!

Kelly has just signed a 3 year deal, exclusive to Latin Fury PPV's, so just cut this **** out.

This Bute ****er is NOT going to ruin my meal ticket!

LMAO but your boy PTP, (a career WW) would do better against Bute than Pavlik.

Top Rank won't let Pavlik fight Bute anyways. I don't think he can beat WW Paul Williams let alone Bute.

Pavlik has no size advantage on Bute, he's smaller. He has no power advantage which is the only way he wins. Plus, he has major problems with a true boxer like Bute is. I think he'd KO Pavlik.

I have to disagree with the both of you. Williams actually has boxing skills, is not one dimensional and punches from all types of angles on top of being a southpaw. I think style wise, he would pose a more difficult match up for Bute than Pavlik who is more predictable and slower on foot. If Williams continues to move up without any problems, he could be a threat to anyone up there.

Bute would stop Pavlik, Ward, Williams and the rest. He is the best out there by far.

    I think this is overstated.

What do we really know? Hopkins outclassed Pavlik. Alright. Is Bute as good as Hopkins?

Bute basically did what should have been done the first time around to Andrade. He fared much worse than Kessler did against Andrade, who then lost to a prospect in Ward.

Abraham is considered to be top 3 SMW by some, by knocking Jermain Taylor out in the 12th. Pavlik knocked him out in the 7th and then decisioned him in 12. I guess if Abraham had an up on Pavlik, it'd be the knockout win over Miranda. That is splitting hairs though. He looked bad against Miranda in the first fight.

What we do know Pavlik brings to the table is a very sturdy beard. He took multiple flush shots from Taylor and managed to get back on his feet. Froch took two right hands from Taylor and was on his ass.

Pavlik's power is also undeniable. Getting outclassed by Hopkins is no true measure of how hard he punches. Hopkins would probably also outclass Abraham. I do think his confidence hit the dirt after that fight but he has a lot of life left in him yet.

I will say this much. I don't think Bute closes Pavlik out anywhere near what Hopkins did. Maybe he wins, but I'm fairly sure a right hand from Pavlik would hurt a lot more than a right hand from Andrade. We'll see though.

Pavlik's handspeed suffers above 160 and it isn't great to begin with.

No way Pavlik hits as hard as Bika, Berrio and Bute took flush shots from them and wasn't hurt.

All Pavlik has is a punch and against Bute he doesn't hit as hard, chin isn't as sturdy & is way slower with his hands.

That is disregarding all other areas which Bute is lightyears ahead of Pavlik and will only add to his difficulty in landing.

I'm a fan of Pavlik but Bute is quite possibly the worst style matchup possible
