Tim's a hell of a commentator, he quietly muttered two words under his breath during Round 2.

    Round 2
    Thurman 10-9
    19-19

More competitive fight than I thought. Thurman edged via activity.

Jarvis arguably boxed the best round of his life against the best fighter he's fought in the first round.

But it's going to take some work to keep it up.

    Round 1 Jarvis 10-9
    Round 2 Thurman 10-9
Round 3 Thurman wins by brutal KO

Keith lands some hooks to the body, jabbing well, keeping him at range, dancing around the ring, Brock leaping in and missing. Brock with a big right, he misses it as well, but Thurman reacts negatively. More jabbing from Keith. Nasty body shot from Keith, he follows up with several vicious rights, then lands a hellacious uppercut which drops the kid hard. Thurman attacks, leaps in with a huge left hook, down he goes again, the ref waves it mid fall. Glass predictably shattered!

That was a pretty good finish. Thurman even at this point, is still tons of fun to watch.

Thurman really just needed a couple of rounds to shake off the rust. Found his jab in the second round and then found the timing for everything else in the third.
Looks like the old man still has something left.

Like I said...it's going to take some work. You could see Brock breathing hard at the end of the second round.

Thurman acting like he has just stopped some world beater. I really doubt Jarvis is even top 50, and certainly not a jr. middleweight.

Does anyone fancy Keith's chances against Tszyu? I remember when the fight was supposed to happen in March of last year, I though Thurman had a decent chance against Timmy. Thurman still has power and speed at this point of his career, and now that Tszyu is coming back from two really bad defeats, the fight is 50/50 I would say.

Tszyu vs Thurman will make for a good build up in the Serie B side of the division.
