Ring Welterweight ranked contenders beat (at the time they beat them):

    Khan:

    Alexander #10

    Thurman:

    Guerrero #9

    Brook

    Jackiweiz #6
    Senchenko #10
    Porter #5

    I think I know who's winning. :deal

It ain't gonna be either of the Special K's that's for sure. It'll be.....:!:(instead of saying his name we should refer to him by emotikhan)

:nono Here is how I think Floyd's thinking.

His no.1 target is Cotto. However he's has to wait and see until the Geale fight. If Cotto wins he will fight him, if Cotto loses he will do one of two things:

    - In Sept, he will fight Danny Garcia for an easy escape route.
    - He won't fight at all in Sept and give Pacquiao a rematch in May 16, for the biggest payday.

That scenario has crossed my mind as well...but after the abysmal showing against Pederson that might have all of a sudden became an incredibly hard sell. But the Cotto and Pacquiao route is very likely.

This Sept I would be very surprised to see him fight anyone of the 3 fighters mentioned in the first post.

    Bundu, Guerrero, Chaves, Zaveck, Karass

Its a solid resume, which i dont say often about American prospects.

However Thurmans missing one big win, a win against an elite opponent and not the C-B Level fighters

If he fights Maidana and wins impressively then yes hes earned the shot but its a 50/50 fight with Maidana

I've been a fan of One Time for a few years now and i think he could be Floyd's biggest threat but i think Mayweather will choose Khan. I don't agree with it but it'll most likely happen as long as he doesn't struggle or lose to Algieri.

Y'all crazy to think Thurman has a chance to even give Floyd trouble. Easy UD for floyd wouldn't lose a round..

Thurman will be coming into his prime in 2 years time and you can look forward to him potentially becoming THE MAN in the division assuming both Pac & Floyd have retired by then.

But for Floyd next? meh...If I was a Thurman fan I wouldn't want that...

The reason why Thurman doesn't have a better resume is because the bigger names aren't exactly lining to fight him.
