For what, smacking around an unwilling Quintana?

no for being exciting... quintana is only unwilling if someone puts enough presure to make him unwilling. either way i like the guy... and think he'll make it a fight or get koed trying

That's cute considering you were picking Quintana to win :patsch.

Makes no sense to me to just discredit him no matter what he does, but that's up to you really.

I said even a shot to **** Quintana could spring the upset, if he brought the same fire and had as much left as he did against Latimore (he didn't)

I also said that Quintana getting banged out was an obvious possibility, as even a low-grade light middleweight with any power whatsoever is a risk to do that by now.

Hell, even a Michael Oliveira would have a 50/50 chance of either blitzing Quintana or getting schooled - same as it was on paper for Thurman heading in.

Quintana has the skills to pay the bills but was never exactly sturdy and has grown more and more fragile (physically and mentally) over the years.

What was the point of the pick then if you already gave yourself an out?

Makes no sense to me, you're basically saying because Quintana has been KO'ed before you wouldn't have been impressed regardless of what Thurman did.

Now I'm not saying Thurman's anything special (he's gonna make some damn good fights though) but you can at least accept that you were wrong and move on, shitting on him after the fact is just sour grapes.

Just watched this and cant say I am very impressed. I hope he improves and gets rounds in but not a massive acheivement considering Quintana retired after the fight.

    Wrong?

Please show me where I declared with confidence that Quintana would beat him, or anything along those lines to have been proven "wrong"? :huh

Quintana isn't a safe pick against anyone at this stage, even if it's a raw hypejob who has nothing going on except he can whack a bit.

i was impressed, he has great composure and picks his shots well. i think someone with a lot of handspeed and some decent technical ability could handcuff him though. i like him, i though quintana would be too skilled for him but he busted him him up, good ****ing performance. first time i can remember that I went 0-2 on predictions for an HBO card.
