Keith is the man, IMO. People are high on Spence and Crawford, but this guy and Porter are the ones for me when it comes to Americans between 140-147. He goes for the stoppage every time (nearly gets it, too), is willing to fight the best, and is rarely in a boring fight. What's not to like?
I like Thurman, always have, I think out of the ring he is actually very funny and seems like a really decent man. Assuming Thurman stays at 147 and don't follow Brook to 154 and Thurman and Spence Jr both keep winning I think Thurman Vs Spence sometime next year is a huge fight, a real genuine monster fight. I really rate Thurman and Spence Jr, I don't have a preference.
I don“t like him at all but i have to give him some credit and he is fun to watch. But he has been hurt too many times. Guerrero, Porter, Diaz, Chavez, Karass and Collazo: all of them hurt him. Yet he beat all of them so he gets respect from me.
Yup. He is a highly entertaining guy with a ton of natural athletic ability. He has solid boxing skills and IQ, and he constantly busts his ass to improve them. He always wants to fight the best and is not afraid to take risks in the fight, with his pen, or with his 0. Sure he has been rocked a couple times, and doesn't carry an aura of invincibility but that **** doesn't rate as highly with me as attitude. I'll take Kieth all day every day over guys like Mayweather or Garcia who want to line up every star and advantage perfectly before getting in the ring and testing themselves. How far can he go, I don't know. but I'll happily keep on tuning in even if he loses.
Why won't he be? People only pay to see Floyd fight in the hope of him losing. People NEVER tire of paying to see knockouts, and Keith does them big time. Besides, people aren't paying for Floyd's fights anymore (his last fight shows that), and there's a chance to see a fellow American at the same weight fight the same opposition, better opposition, and have a fantastic chance of knocking them clean out WITHOUT all the bravado. Why wouldn't people pay to see that? :think
Agreed 100%. :good In all honesty, it's great too see American fighters who are WILLING to face the best like Thurman & Porter. Garcia is a joke. Absolutely irrelevant at this point of time. Same goes for Floyd. His numbers are dwindling, he's trying to fight a cage-fighter under non cage-fighting rules - he's a circus act, a sideshow.
You can't go around comparing every next fighter to Fluid. Its just like comparing every nba player to Jordan.
