    What ever happened to the process of when a champ is unable to defend because of injury the next two available contenders fight for an interim title with the winner fighting the former champ for the full title. Thurman is no Mayweather who was able to circumvent mandatory's because he was Mayweather and these organizations were too weak to go against their golden egg. Thurman is holding his titles to ransom and these mobs only apply rules when it suits their agenda.

    Too many belts. A lot of these new records are the result of too many belts. I've seen guys hold a single version of the title for a decade, make 20 defenses and never fight a live body. When there was only one belt the title changed hands every couple of fights. If you could hold onto a belt for four years and face your top 3 challengers every year you were an ATG.
