Keith thurman is a ko artist, but his last fight showed he can box for 12 rounds also and he's a superstar in the making, mark my words.

He hasn't fought anyone but contenders yet, he's promising but hasn't done anything yet. You can't even put his name next to Floyd or even other WW champions yet.

thurman is a very good fighter.the best out there right now and i think he could beat mayweather.

i doubt mayweather would ever fight him.

Where's the option in the poll for "He has yet to fight an opponent capable of allowing us to make a sound judgement"?

  6. Thurman is pretty much in the same position as Kell Brook, needs a big fight to prove just how good he is.

Maybe if they fought each other would be a good way to find out just how good they are.

I won't hold my breath on that one.

    Pretty much this

Its too early to tell with Thurman although the punching power is there and I dont hold dominating Zaveck for 12 rounds as a bad thing seeing as Berto's stoppage win over him was bull**** in a fight I thought Zaveck was winning

Still with that being said he is only 24 with a 20-0 (18) record so there is not an immediate need to rush this guy, he should fight in this order :

Diego Gabriel Chavez - WBA Interim
    Ed Paredes - WBA Interim
Marcos Maidana - WBA Interim / WBA World
Adrien Broner (should he still be WBA Champion unless he is derailed by Maidana/Mathysse)

I like the kid but dont overhype him too much, let's see how he comes along

Hes good but welterweight is such a tough category to be dominant in. Floyd is the clear number one but anyone can take the second spot. Thurman still has to prove himself and if he wants to be second in ww he needs to beat the likes of Timothy, Marquez, Pacquiao, Provodnikov. Then you always have the threats moving up like Matthysse and Garcia.

Thurman vs Broner, i would pick Thurman, especially after his last showing vs Zaveck, too big and strong.
Thurman vs Alexander would be intriguing.

Cant gauge his skills until he fights a world class level opponent... By the time he does that floyd may just have slipped enough to get a win.... But floyds still going strong even though he has declined

I would like to ask Cintron who's the harder puncher between Canelo or Thurman . Given the fact he was knocked out by both men . I'm curious to what he would say .

I like the way he's developing. It's probably too soon to call him the 2nd best WW, but if he continues to tighten his game up, he can get there. Counterpunchers with power are always a wicked combination.

I'm bullish on Thurman's prospects and I think he's got championship potential. I hope his team doesn't make the mistake of letting inactivity set in once he reaches the ABC belt level; he needs to keep fighting 4 times a year to stay sharp.

Your poll is flawed, you left out:

Option 5: Kell Brook (no blueprint)

Therefore I strike you from the record and ask that the rest of ESB do the same. On what grounds? On the grounds of this palsied thread you've inflicted on the world. You deserve being locked in a room for a few days without food or water to think about the sort of nonsense you're putting out in the public domain.
