Seeing him go 12 rounds tonight, staying focused. He keeps his power through 12 rounds, and his stamina. The guy can fight going forweard and backwards. Good defence, power in both hands. I admit he hasn't beat anyone great so i'm taking a punt. But from what i saw tonight. i'd favour him to beat everyone at 147 right now. Is it to soon to chuck him in with Winner of Floyd Guerrero?
great fight for him. good to know that he can get into the deep water and not drown. fights like this will only make him better. 147-154 will have problems.
i agree, i see him been too much for everyone at 147. 154 is becoming a deep division so i see some competitive fights for him there,
Meh... Thurman looked alright. Didn't look special to me! B-hop stole the show... Made me forget all about Thurman!
Zavek is a **** opponent. He is 36 years old FFS! How he is ranked as high as he is, I will never know. He is boring, no jab, slow hands & footwork, and he threw about 3 punches a round. The only punches he ever threw were the overhand rights, pathetic display. Thurman needs to step up!
I only caught the 12th round, and here's this guy bouncing around, looking as fresh as if it was the first. Was thinking wtf?
poor defense still has a lot to learn before taking on the big guys ,remember he fought a guy who hasn't fought in a year.
he's still up and coming, so there's a chance it could all be hype, and when he steps it up he gets blasted out or exposed. But from what i've seen i personally pick him over all those guys. He is a beast at 147 in my opinion. He answered a big question last night in terms of what he'd be like under 12 ronds of pressure in the late rounds.
I thought Keith would lose. It must be really annoying to fight someone like Zaveck. The guy has amazing defense, hes moving forward all the time, never even touched the canvas in his career. I thought Keith would just get too agitated and start making mistakes. What happened was that Keith stayed focused, patient, used his superior speed and reach. I guess for many people that fight was not much to look at, but to me it displayed that Keith is not just some dumb kid, but knows how to adapt and has the patience to stand against tough opponents. Yeah, I know some think zaveck is just some pushover, cause hes..... well.... white. But hes not. He is way under valued. I watched his fight with berto and I saw him taking over in the last 2 rounds before the injury while berto was puffing. But, yes, obviously his age goes against him.
He's ok. But he moves to much. He should set his feet and plant his punches better. His defense needs work aswell
