Why do people think Pacquiao will KO Thurman?

Pacquiao scored 1 TKO in his last 10 wins.

Does Thurman have a weaker chin than these boxers that Pacquiao couldn't KO but won by decision at a younger age?

    Adrien Broner
    Jessie Vargas
    Timothy Bradley
    Chris Algieri
    Brandon Ríos
    Juan Manuel Márquez
    Shane Mosley
    Antonio Margarito
    Joshua Clottey

I do think it'll go the distance and the judges will give it to Thurman though just because he has 0 loses like they did in the Bradley and Horn fight.

Pac is 5 years older. Thurman has always been vulnerable, look at his collazo fight, Lopez is nothing new.

If Pacman KOs Thurman or even beats him decisively, this will be Pacman first vs an Undefeated (A) boxer, in general Pacman doesn't do well vs Undefeated fighters

    (1999) 18-0 (B+) Boonsai Sangsurat (TKO loss)
    (2000) 19-0 (B-) Nedal Hussien !!!(Close call)!!!
(2001) 21-0 (B+) Manny Lucero (dirty rough fight)
(2007) 34-0 (B-) Jorge Solis (KO win vs Contender)
    (2012) 27-0 (A) Timothy Bradley (3x12)
    (2014) 20-0 (B) Chris Algieri (decision win)
    (2015) 47-0 (A+) Floyd Mayweather (No Win)
    (2017) 16-0 (B+) Jeff Horn (No Win)
    (2019) 29-0 (A) Keith Thurman (?)

If Pacman loses it will not hurt his ATG status, if he wins its a definite boast, Thurman gets so little of this...Just bedtime stories of Pacman adventures back in his prime...No credit for 2019 Pacman...Madonna 1979 is not the same caliber as Madonna 21st century

He beat horn and Bradley both undefeated so I don’t see how this is relevant. Robbery is robbery.

Broner, Bradley, Rios, Marquez, Mosley, Margarito and Clottey all have amazing chins. I think every fighter you listed there has a better beard than Thurman.

I feel like Thurman will get stopped by Manny. I don't think it is extra motivation for Pac or anything, I just think Thurman is going to melt under the spotlight and Pac is going to stop him when Thurman runs out of gas in about round 8. Pac has been in megafights...this is Thurmans first and he is trying to act like he has been there and I don't think he is ready for how much extra energy is spent before he even steps in the ring.

Maybe I'm wrong and someone will bump this thread if/when Keith wins...who knows.

The idea of difficulty is not as easy to beat as (Hatton, Prawet, Sasakul)

More of a coincidence than actually being the case. Let’s be honest, horn would have been his first stoppage in a while had the fight been anywhere else other than Australia.

And a prime Bradley was a better fighter than this Thurman or even a prime Thurman. And Pac beat him all the same. And Bradley was still undefeated when Pac rematched him and closed the deal.

Thurman is porter level and Danny Garcia level. Remember when Pac and Floyd was considered so far out of their league people thought it was cherry picking for Pac or Floyd to fight someone like Danny?

There’s levels to this game, Thurman is overconfident and Pac is motivated.

    is more self-assuring

(coincidence or not) Confidence/Undefeated record helps vs Pacman

Anybody who claims Pac "lost" to Bradley and Horn (who should've been TKO'd) to make a point that he lost to undefeated boxers are simply haters and does not deserve any respect in these boards.

We forget that Algieri should've been TKO'd as well when the referee stopped the fight for some weird reason.
Margarito should've been TKO'd. Broken orbital bone whilst Pac was very clearly pulling his punches and motioning the ref to stop it.
Horn should've been TKO'd. That round was brutal. Ref was on the record saying he was going to stop it.

    Let's look at the rest:
Clottey - in his shell all night.
Mosley - running all night, was still KD'd.
    Rios - iron chinned.
Marquez - was about to go down as well.
Bradley - underrated defense and skill with rolling with the punches. KD'd nonetheless.
Floyd - defensive genius. iron chinned.
Vargas - good techinical fight, was still dominated, was still KD'd.
Broner - good chinned. will not engage.

Any boxer who remotely tried to engage with Pac was either KD'd, almost TKO'd or was dominated.

The only way Thurman will win is if he's gonna pot shot from a distance and avoid all engagement.

The thread was not intended to trigger people who oppose official results....Germany should have won WW1 also if it wasn't for the corrupt judges, but we just go by the official result (this caused WW2), so there is also a big moral tune to the good of Germany winning WW1, which would have led to avoiding the horrors of WW2 & Stalin...but everyone let it go, as official results are the accepted standard...

So can we please accept official results as part of the boxing status quo...If you don't like judges KO is the only sure way to secure a win....well not always, sometimes in Germany you could get warnings for hitting the local prospect with unpredictable punches

That’s ridiculous. So basically what you’re saying is should the judges have scored against Floyd for all his fights which didn’t result in a KO, he would have 30+ losses and we just accept that?

Judges aren’t gods. A fight is a fight and People can score for themselves. The judges scorecards should generally reflect the majority.
