How good is this guy? I'll watch a few of his fights and form an opinion.

Just want a bit of info. Is he good enough now to beat likes of Kell Brook, Robert Guerrero and Amir Khan?

Exciting fighter tough as nails who can brawl or box with good pop. Likes to go to the body as well. I think he will be ducked by the bigger names to be honest.

he's exciting, can punch, has decent boxing skills but isn't profoundly special in that area, and loves to fight. he's also a character outside of the ring. he doesn't have a shot against floyd in my opinion for the very same reasons no one else really does, but he has the tools required for the hype machine to make him appear to be a viable opponent for mayweather. frankly, i'd rather see him fight broner.

I agree. Guerrero already turned down a fight with him. Thurman is a big WW too

He's big, he's fast, he hits hard, and he fights aggressively. He can box a little when he wants, brawl quite well, and has shown that he can dig to the body. He's rough and raw, but he's done very well at the prospect stage, beating the people he should beat, but you never do know if that's going to mean anything once he starts stepping up again in class.

That said, even without having seen a ton of Thurman's fights, I'm confident Thurman would slaughter both Khan and Guerrero. He's really big for a welter, and even looks big for a Jr. Middleweight. Add in his speed and power, and he'd have major physical advantages against Guerrero and Khan. With Brook, I haven't seen enough of either guy to be willing to say anything.

He's already world class and I don't think he's peaked yet. He has amazing power, excellent punch placement, and he shows great poise under fire.

However he does have defensive lapses.
