That's just like saying "Kovalev is a cherrypicker, he's fighting a 49 year old."

Bundu is a pretty decent fighter and unbeaten

Bundu is a really good opponent!
Look up his last match (vs British prospect Frankie Gavin) and then make your opinion again.

Bundu is very underrated and has a decent chance against Thurman.

  7. Bundu beat Gavin, Jackiewicz, Purdy and Petrucci twice

That’s better than anything that, say, Robert Guerrero has done at welter. Or that Devon Alexander has done in the last 4 years. And about on par with Shawn Porter. Yes, he’s old, but Bundu is a pretty good fighter for someone with absolutely no name recognition on this side of the pond.

They aren't fighting for the TBRB belt.
They're fighting for the WBA Interim belt at 147lbs.

The problem with Bundu is he's never fought a world class fighter but he's a very good boxer. He's not a knockout puncher, either.

He's european so americans instantly think he's a bum or a no hoper. I think most of them have never seen him fight or ever laced up a glove.

Bundu hasn't really fought a puncher like Thurman. He has potential to expose Thurman but i can't see it happening.

My prediction is Thurman by knockout. I think his power will suprise Bundu and it might be an early stoppage. It's just a bad style matchup for him. Bundu is a top class operator, though.

This is one of the problems with how boxing operates as a business, particularly in the U.S., but also other countries. In the U.S., unless a fighter has appeared on HBO or Showtime it's unlikely for us to know anything about the opponent. HBO and Showtime show such a small percentage of fighters in the world and usually just U.S. prospects and champs.

There are over 19,000 fighters in the world so it's not all their fault.

The Ring, TBRB, Boxrec and ABC'S help with their rankings a little bit, but it's so many places to check and few videos of opponents.

As an U.S. citizen I've been to a few shows in Cali, but from what it sounds like on TV the fight fans come out in droves and more electric in the UK and Mexico. I would definitely like to witness some boxing matches in either of those countries and more.

I remember watching live soccer in the U.S. More exciting than T.V., but still not so electric. I went to Mexico and I was on my feet and cheering, huge adrenaline rush because of the energy of the crowd.

Lol, shows how ignorant the TS is...

    An undefeated fighter, European champion...

This is the kinda **** that had people writing off Bradley because he struggled with "an ESPN fighter"... Then he goes on to outbox Marquez...

    People are ignorant
