Barrios is a better version of Josesito Lopez, and Lopez gave him hell after being out the ring close to 2 years as well. Thurman again finds himself in the same predicament as he did with Lopez, facing a very capable fighter after a lengthy time off from the ring. I think Thurman will have to rely more on his instincts to win this and should win, but im not going to count Barrios out. This one can bite keith in the ass.

Lopez gave Thurman hell in... one round. Otherwise, it was 10-2 or 9-3 at worst for Keith.

Nah go back and watch it again. Lopez was competitive throughout, and had Thurman badly hurt. If hes too rusty hes going to have a bad night against Barrios.

and barrios is from my hometown, i want him to succeed, but him and once uppon a time dont make a ppv.
thurman needs a fight with no risk, and out of those there for haymon to manipulate, barrios is the one just happy to get in there with another big name. my boy is getting beat up.

For sure. Can’t really blame the fighters, more so the promotion.

It's an insult to the knowledgeable boxing public to ask them to pay for Thurman vs Barrios. That's a lack of respect and they won't get a dime from me.

Something I thought of before, is they might be testing the waters here and trying to get a Davis-Thurman fight for a minor title at welterweight. I'm dead serious. If Thurman looks like dog **** but beats Barrios (which is what's likely IMO), they could potentially move Tank up to 147 to take on an even further degraded Thurman while in the mean time, they request the WBA mandate the winner of Buatev-Stanionis to face the Super champion which would leave the regular title vacant. It'd be easy for a Tank vs Thurman fight to have the vacant WBA on the line and giving Tank the only feasible way of becoming a four weight world champion.

It might sound far fetched at first, and tbh, it probably is, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is in the cards. **** like this is calculated for fighters like Tank all the time.

I hope this is the case.

Thurman's bound to look rusty, so Mario Barrios may have a moment or two, but he's taking a hellacious beating and then KO.

But if that results in Tank-Thurman, I'm all for Thurman brutally KOing Tank.

Yeah same, it'd be really funny watching an inactive old guy bang out a **** like Tank.
