Welp, this came out of left field. Thurman still appears adamant to fight to face an Aussie foe after the fight with Tszyu fell through. First fight for Thurman since the Barrios fight. First major fight for Jarvis since the Paro defeat. Crossroads battle for both combatants.

He should fight Tszyu after this.

I don't care how inactive Thurman has been. Jarvis is terrible and used to campaign at Feather weight I think.
Liam Paro destroyed him in one round I believe Thurman will do the same. I hope that No Limit have a hospital bed reserved for Brock.

"One time I was a Boxer" is back to do what exactly? What is the end goal? What do we learn from a quick knock out?

When Thurman wins, will he go back to doing commentary for the next three years?

    Anyone?

I am assuming that he is coming to destroy Jarvis in Australia to wet the appetite of our casuals down here for a Tim Tszyu Keith Thurman fight which would be a sell out in any decent sized venue in Australia.

Fairly pointless random matchup. There must be a method to it. It will be good to see Keith downunder.

Yeah Thurman turned himself irrelevant. No point coming back now.

Thurman has boxed once in the last five/six years now and clearly thinks he's relevant.

Waste of talent. If he wins this, his next fight will be in another two years time.

So all of y'all simply came to this thread to express how much you don't care about this match up.... Weird.

I don't click on any thread discussing something I don't care about. Especially not to make an announcement that I don't care about if......lol.

Anyway.... No Thurman is not the household name he once was, but I'll pay attention to what he's doing as long as he is in the process of getting in the ring. Hopefully he can stay healthy. His press conferences are made for TV. I don't expect to get "One Time" but I don't expect him to get passed Brock easier than some.

His power and IQ is still there. Let's see if his reflexes and chin can hold up, or rather, can he keep from getting tagged to the body causing him to take out his mouthpiece. Until he shows he is ineffective in the ring, I will totally understand why he continues to try and put himself in the ring. Still wouldn't mind him taking on Tszyu at 154lbs or dropping back down for the Boots fight.

I think people are simply fed up with his inactivity and no one here is denying how good Thurman once was.

Back in 2015, PBC signed lots of deals with lots of TV broadcasters. This led to Thurman vs Guerrero, which was a big fight at the time, and a well produced one. Thurman was a star of the division at that point, as 3.4 million people tuned in for that fight.
    Since then, his activity:
    2015 - 2
    2016 - 1
    2017 - 1
    2018 - 0
    2019 - 2
    2020 - 0
    2021 - 0
    2022 - 1
    2023 - 0
    2024 - 0
    2025 - 1

8 fights in 11 years. So you can see why people are so bothered with him showing up once again.

Keith "Remember that One Time" Thurman needs to ride off. No world title will be his again and frankly, fighting 8 times in 11 years is a good indication of that. The Pac Man defeat was it for him. Completely deflated his career

Keith "Once Upon a Time" Thurman needs to call it quits if he's just going to fight once in a blue moon against scrubs. Pulling out of the Tszyu fight was the last straw for everyone.
