Should a guy with alcohol problems be stepping into a boxing ring with a legend like Keith Thurman? GTFOH! By the way, don't you think his alcohol problems might have something to do with the devastating impact of the car wreck? The pain he has to deal with on a day to day basis? Why do you think he has an alcohol problem? Or did he always have one and it has nothing to do with the car wreck? Why do you want so bad to see a clearly brain damaged man continue his boxing career? Let the man live his life in peace. He's suffered enough embarassement and brain damage throughout his career. He's not the same as he was, clearly. Stop trying to encourage this man to further brain damage himself. Or do you not care about his well being at all?
He had surgery for cataracts after the Crawford loss as well. This man is done. All the people wanting to see him fight again will find out what we already know.
He was not overrated. So now we're getting the other extreme, the idea that he was never good to begin with. Spence was special, some people don't want to admit that, but he was. But the car wreck changed everything, clearly, and if you can't see that, if you can't seen the clear change, then that's on you.
I don't give a damn if he comes back or not. The guy embarrassed himself and I have no sympathy for a man who was driving like a maniac endangering the lives of other people not just himself. He is a grown man if he wants to fight again it's his decision.
And did the Spence fans have sympathy for Kell Brook who got his eye broken by GGG before Spence stopped him? LOL of course not.
Spence is basic as ****. The biggest thing he had going for him was how big he was for the weight. His best wins are a post GGG Brook(and he struggled in that fight) and a life and death battle with Porter that he arguably lost. Crawford totally schooling and battering him definitely hurts his legacy.
I think that Spence and Thurman should spend a decade arguing with eachother about who is the A side, in the meantime they can both try to make fights with ODLH so that one of them can become this big star before the two of them get into the ring together.
Came to post this. I hope Errol beats his own demons with alcohol before beating any other fighter. I am glad he came out and said something. not something easy to admit. Props to him.
