Broner would've beat porter easily if he fought to actually win from the start. I know it's a coulda, soulda and woulda type thinga Have Thurman by tko, if not then he'll never be elite because porter is far from elite. And I do mean far from elite
I tihnk Thurman takes this on points in a great fight. PPL still think Keith has questions to answer I think these get answered one way or another against Porter. Guna be good.
One Time is the more versatile of the two when it comes to boxing. As long as Thurman can keep some lateral movement, or even better, back Porter up, it'll be a long night for Porter on the cards. Fight will be competitive and great to watch no matter how the cards go however. Porter is great coming forward. Side to side and back? Not so much. Footwork. Best advice I could give to anybody fighting Porter is "stay off the tracks as the train moves forward."
This, I thought Broner could've won but sometimes you gotta scratch your head at the way he fights. He's got the tools but not the brain. If I recall correctly, I thought he couldn't figure Porter out in that fight. Just needed to let his hands go really.
Porter will lose against a good fighter with a jab. Porter's best asset is to over-power his smaller opponents, but when he doesn't have the size advantage or is fighting someone with sound text book skills I'm afraid he is less than ordinary. FFS he smothers his own inside game.
