Keith Thurman VS Shawn Porter

al haymon want make this fight. porter dad want a million at least for it to happen. porter team aint ducking him but they aint in a hurry either. 50/50 fight i favor thurman i like his fight diego chavez who is a best.

 

Nah. Porter is a bruiser. He uses his athleticism far more than Berto ever did.


Don't know who I'd pick for this fight. I think Thurman is the better all around fighter. I think Porter is tough and can turn it into a grueling affair, and impose his style on the fight. I'd imagine Thurman looking to land hard counters as Porter is leaping in and out. The question to me will be can Thurman deter Porter enough? At this time, I'm thinking aye.

 

I got porter in this one ..... if thurman was struggling with karass and porter is a way beter fighter than karass

 

Thurman had very few struggles with JSK. He got caught in the opening seconds with a shot. After that it was a thoroughly one sided fight.

 

No doubt. To me this fight is a case of what will prove itself. Thurman's chin, or Porter's ability to go to plan B and box a guy who can box and bang.

 

I see Porter walking into counters all night and getting ktfo.

 

To those that keep bringing up Thurman getting rocked by Karass in the first round, just remember Feather-Fisted Julio Diaz stunned Porter alot of times and if Porter was such a beast he would have stopped him.

Thurman is better and more complete.

 

Porters last stoppage before Malignaggi was against Patrick Thompson in 2012 and the guy was 18-17-1 and now all of a sudden people acting like he's the hardest puncher in the division.

 

It would be a FOYT candidate for sure...but Thurman is no Malignaggi. When he hits you, he hurts you and I don't think Porter would want to bull rush Thurman like he did Paulie. I like both fighters, but Thurman is more proven IMO and is a more complete fighter.

 

Not sure which one would take it, but I know it would be a entertaining fight, ending in a KO or TKO.
