Brook has a whole lot more talent than Thurman, but Thurman has the bigger one punch power. although Brook isn't short of power himself.

chin probably goes to Brook, but there isn't much in it.

overall, i have this as a 50/50 fight. it depends on how they feel on the night to decide the winner.

i just hope in the next twelve months they get bit on. because it would be an evenly fought contest. at least on paper anyway.

 

Kell Brook is not Calzaghe, FFS Calzaghe had actually beaten quality fighters, maybe not amazing but FFS Calzaghe never struggled with a fighter like Carson Jones, Brook will get beaten at the very top level their is a reason he has fought nobody for 30 fights.

it's priceless that you claim Kell hasn't fought anybody in defence of Thurman. because Kell has fought a whole lot more than Keith has. :deal

Thurman isn't worth that kind of money. he won't see a pay check like that in his entire career.

 

Kell Brook couldn't Jeff Lacy Carson Jones and did everything he could to keep out of the same square as Devon Alexander... He wouldn't do anything then get his British chin clipped if he fought Thurman, and I by no means am one of those Thurman worshipers (which seems to be either many or a very vocal few).

 

i was never sold on lacy. too predictable....relied too much on his hook and 'power.' nothing special. i will admit that i didn't think much of calzaghe either because he was a hometown fighter. same as hatton.

thurman on the other hand is the real deal. real skill...real power. i've seen kell brook. thurman beats him easily.

 

Thurman isn't a bonafide champ either. Or even a champ for that matter. This is a battle of the prospects. No more no less.
