Brooks was found WELL short when fighting elite fighters and Porter certainly not in that category. This is no different to Bellew and Burns when facing elite fighters.

When defending a guys resume comes down to how good is a win over Shawn porter it's probably time to choose a different hill to die on.

 

His issue was GGG fight.
He should have fought Jessie Vargas instead that fall and moved up.
I reckon he'd still be unbeaten by now and in P4P conversation.

 

Yes GGG destroyed him and his career but he chose to chase the PPV money.

The problem with potential is everybody can claim they are better than reality. I judge on what I see in the ring and in the cold light of day reviewing his career - good fighter but nowhere near elite level.

 

Is Brook retired now? he hasn't fought this year

 

Brook should've made the fight with Horn before Zerafa got to him. He would have done an absolute demolition job on Horn within 3 rounds.
