Does anyone even know he's fighting Crawford? Just reading an article in the mail about DAZN.. '' Ranged against them by various cross-Atlantic rivals, in addition to arch-entertainer Fury here with BT and Queensberry, are Terence Crawford, who defends his pound-for-pound crown against Luke Campbell this Saturday night '' Go on Luke
Kell has been fighting Golovkins and Spences of the world while Crawford has been fed glass-jawed yokels like Khan and Indongo. KTFO Rabchanka and Deluca, "struggled" with Zerafa by winning every round and Zerafa went on to beat Horn more devastatingly than Crawford. When I look at these two guys I see a battle-hardened veteran with plenty left in the tank and a coddled baby in a cradle. Brook by KO.
Rooting for kell big time here and can see him having good spells early. Crawford is on another level mentally at the minute though and I think he will get to kell at some point and force the stoppage.hope he gives bud hell though!..mon san!.
Would be a Honeyghan-Curry, Tyson-Douglas, AJ-Ruiz level of upset if Kell were to pull this off but even in his prime what advantages would Kell have over Crawford ?? None that I can think of and after the GGG debacle, inactivity plus extreme weight cutting surely there's only going to be one winner. Kell will give it a go for the first few rounds hopefully before being stopped and at least go out with his head held high and with more respect against Crawford than A Mere Con Man did when he got hit on the leg, pretended he couldn't continue and quit, collected his sack of loot and exited the sport.
I'm definitely rooting for Brook, Crawford is still yet to have that career defining fight if you ask me. It's not his fault, people have avoided him but Brook has taken on whoever wants it and left it all in there every time and I admire that.
I hope he balloons to Tyson Fury size after the last weigh-in and sits on Crawford until his eyes pop out.
Reverse psychology, Brook is going to quit himself. 4D chess. Crawford won’t know what happened as he’s getting his hand raised.
It's the weight and inactivity that worry's me. I just don't think Kell can keep his foot to the floor for 12 rounds at 147 - we've had so much waffle from him that he's too big at the weight and then he comes back down to it. I just dont see it working out - when has it ever? RJJ, Chris Byrd - always come to mind in scenarios like this. Against a limited come forward fighter like De Luca he's always looked good, Brook is strong, accurate and he can hit but when he steps up in class he's rarely been able to put together a performance over the distance - Porter being the one anomaly . It wasn't so much the result against Zefara it's how many times he got hit - Brooks never moved his head loads and at times he was getting hit for fun. So if Zefara and Horn are a similar level - probably below world class these days - and Brook is a touch above that is that enough to beat Crawford? I'm not sure at 147lbs doesn't have elite wins but even Postal is better than 99% list of Brooks vitims. Crawford hasn't shown to be shaky in the chin department, he's got a better body attack which Kell might be vulnerable to and a big reach advantage against a guy who's last big win is 6 years ago. If Brook wins this is a huge shock.
I was trying to remember who it was that brook was sparring before the porter fight that postponed it? Maybe Mexican or Spanish welterweight that cracked brooks rib in sparring. many one remember who it was and where they are now?
