Everyone would obviously rather he stayed at 147 but if he has to go to 154 then so be it.

I'm sure Matchroom could hype Andrade or a Charlo or J Rock. What's possibly more important for Brook is that the Haye vs Bellew and AJ vs Wlad shows are entertaining which will probably have more effect on his PPV numbers than the opponent (unless it's Khan).

I agree that I don't think Spence will take it. I just don't see him coming here for 25%.

Khan can't be in the summer because of Ramadan.

I could see a Pacquiao fight in September/October.

Pacquiao is just going where the money is now so he would come to the UK.

Cotto beat Brook? Not this cotto.

Even this version of cotto beats brook. Probably even stops him. You ve got to remember cotto was coming into the ring against pacman at 160 pounds years ago. It ll go the exact same way the golvokin fight went but cotto gets to him later. Pushes him back to the ropes...then sticks the body and head shots in.

Brooks a good fighter i rate him. But people are getting carried away at him briefly putting up a fight against golovkin. People need to remember golvokin had him hurt in the first minute of the fight...by pushing him back to the ropes. Said straight after the fight brook is no middleweight.

Dont get me wrong cotto will struggle with him to start with but people underestimating the weight difference and how much harder these guys are punching. Carson jones had brook going by the exact same tactics. Porter was pushing him back also. They need to forget about brook fighting canelo or cotto. Unless cotto seriously deteriorates.

Its another eddie hearn con job. Talk brook up as if hes the second coming even though the best wins on his cv is carson jones. Frankie gavin. Senchenko and a razor tight decision over porter. Jones showed the blueprint to beat him as well bully him back to the ropes. Cotto will do the exact same thing only this time the heavier punches will wear him down. At that level of boxing very few people are winning fights without taking punches. Lomachenko. Mayweather. Crawford. Are slick enough but porter and carson showed brooks not one of them even though he is pretty slick. The punches will wear him down. Be too heavy for him.

I'm not sure he'd make the weight 'comfortably' but he does work alongside some of the best sports nutritionists and strength and conditioning coaches in the country and they say he can make it, so who is anyone here to say he can't.

As regards Spence, I'm pretty sure he will take the WBC route if the IBF goes through Brook. 50-50 against Bradley in the US for a final eliminator, and technically becoming mandatory for the WBA belt seems like common sense to me when 25% against Brook in the UK (with VADA testing) is the alternative. And even if Spence comes over here, I'd pick Brook to beat him- he's too wet behind the ears for me to deal with everything that will come his way that week- the traveling, the hostile crowds, the experience of Brook, his first 'big fight'.

Don't think Cotto and Canelo will fight Brook anyway so the winner is irrelevant, but we know the judges wouldn't give Brook a fair shake. Especially against Canelo. But I doubt the Smith fight happens given the promotional barriers. Eddie won't want Brook on BT, Frank won't want Smith on Sky

If Khan won't fight him he should just move up in weight. He's not a kid anymore so it must be getting much more difficult to get down to that weight, it can't be healthy.

Brook is bigger than cotto. Cotto started at 140 brook has been at 147 since he he started boxing. Cotto is 5ft7 brook is 5ft9.. cotto isnt beating brook, no way.

The carson jones was not a blueprint to anything, all is showed is brook was a level above for 6 rounds and then he tired because back then he didnt train nor diet properly... so carson had a chance because brook tired out, that isnt a blueprint when brook now trains properly and has a nutritionist to make the weight...

Yeah he should only go back to 147 if the money and size of the fight makes it worth. He walks around in the 180's.. normal 147 fighters are in the late 160's. Hes clearly outgrown the weight class

Obviously spencr would take the bradley fight if things with brook dont work out but why wpuld bradley take that fight? What is the point for him? It'd be 50% of a small purse against a young hungry fighter and all just for mando status. No point for bradley

You're talking as if Brook has reached his peak. I think he has a few more levels than what we have seen so far. For Brook fans it's frustrating we still haven't seen him in fights where we can confidently say how good he is. By comparison Miguel Cotto is a well known quantity.

There is a huge difference of the Brook today and the one from the first Carson Jones fight. Hell, there was a huge difference in the Brook in the second Jones fight than the Brook from the first fight. In the second fight Jones was demolished. If somebody had only watched the second fight, you'd struggle to tell them that Jones had the blueprint to beat Brook. The blueprint to beat 2012 Kell Brook maybe.

I wouldn't fancy many boxers to bully 2017 Brook back to the ropes without taking a lot of hard, accurate shots. If he is still strong at 147 I would favour him against any of them with the exception of Pac. Admittedly I'm quite biased. :)

Thats a fair enough post carling. We still dont really know kells full potential. But we ve got an idea. Even discounting the jones fight. He was still wobbled by senchenko. And had a razor tight win against porter. Who,s maybe not as good as first thought or as good as hes been made out to be. Hes good but guys like cotto would beat porter comfortably.

Cotto,s strong and solid every punch he delivers is thudding. Took that geale out one round later than golvokin did. Gives you an idea or what your dealing with. Dont get me wrong kell will give him problems...he,d give anyone problems cause he,s a skilled operator. But guys like cotto have the tools to beat brook...he ll wear him down. A lot of these guys will be too strong for brook up at 154. That extra 7 pound is massive. Cotto i think came in about 153.5 in his last fight...but who knows how big he comes into the ring. Regardless hes a solid puncher at the weight.

Needs to stay at 147....hes struggling a bit...but most of them are. Its the nature of the sport. Or even try catch weights if he can at worst.

Agree he ll give any one a tough fight at 147. But this talk of him being the best without fighting anyone....where is it coming from. A tight win against porter. Its an indication that him v thurman. Garcia. Even porter again. Will be 50/50 fights. Even khans a tricky fight for him. Pacman will probably beat him at 147.

Cotto. Canelo. Will wear him down. He wont be able to keep them off for 3 minutes a round over 12 rounds. Golvokin had him hurt in the first minute of the fight.

Just my opinion tho guys. I m a big fan of brook. but hes getting overrated since the golvokin fight was made. And thereafter.

Brook would knock Cotto out....................if he can make 147, then fight at 147, if not, he should fight at 154.............he is too big for 147..............

Think brooks getting the frankie gavin treatment a bit with people. Hes got very good skills but it doesnt always translate into wins. A tight victory against porter which lets be honest is the only real world level operator hes ever beat. Doesnt mean your gonna knock cotto out. Thurman beat porter. Stands to reason thurman and brook would be a close fight. Guys like canelo/cotto will be too strong for him. He ll fare well initially like khan did v canelo but these guys will eventually track him down
