The brownies have been cooked. I'll always respect him for coming back from that machete attack.

So glad he's gone out on a relative high. I was convinced he was going for a lucrative, beating at the hands of somebody younger. Possibly the best British boxer of his generation. Thanks Kel.

Good. Last thing I wanted was him being a stepping stone for Connor Benn.

I would have liked to see him at 154, but the reality is he never lived the life, and if he isn't motivated to get back in the gym he's made the right call.

No better way to go out. Grudge settled. Reputation restored. Head held high.

    Well done Kell.

    Shame for Eubank Jr

You mean when the man defended himself from the sexual advances of a drunken Kell?

But yes, glad Brook is retiring off officially becoming Khan's daddy.

Khan Brook did little for either apart from $$$.

If beating a shot to pieces light welter is ending on a high then my names Tyson Fury. He peaked beating Porter and then it was just money to the retirement door.

To get out of boxing with your health and financially secure for the rest of your life is a win.

Brook fought GGG at middleweight because CEJ got cold feet and then boiled back down for Spence at 147 the next fight despite having an orbital bone shattered. Bottle for taking tough fights was never the issue with Brook.

Meanwhile, Benn is feasting on a diet of feather-fisted geriatrics and Eubank has STILL to fight for a real world title...

He settled the score with Khan and doesn't need to prove anything at this point. If his heart is no longer in it then it makes sense to finish rather than be a stepping stone for the young guns coming up. I like Brook he was always game I just think the GGG fight was an error that took a few years off the back end of his career. I wish him a happy retirement.

All the more reason to take the fights. Easy money. Obviously didn't fancy it.

Nah. Benn needs to fight someone his own age and Eubank needs to fight someone elite at his own weight.
Brook feserves to go out on a win and not be a stepping stone for either of thise two.
