By him going up two weight classes to fight GGG (Which is brave, $$$) He has thrown away so many potential matchups that could've been made at the welterweight division. Bouts like: Thurman Garcia Khan Bradley Vargas Porter (Rematch) Broner Pacquiao Berto Felix Diaz Spence And in my honest opinion.... I felt he had the skills to beat all of them. But due to poor matchmaking and throwaway defenses like jojo dan and etc and him moving up to 160 he probably will never make welterweight again... But what are y'all thoughts???
Thurman, Danny and Khan would have ducked him anyway, but since he's bulked up so much, he'll probably never be able to comfortably get back down to WW again, but fear not, its only a matter of time before Spence can't make WW and he'll move up. Look on the bright side, maybe he can take on Lara, Canelo, Andrade and the Charlo's now.
Canelo is on his way to 160, Brook-Lara is a good fight, I got lara winning that one. No way brook beats andrade or the charlo's in my opinion.
Thurman > I'd slightly favor him over Brook. Garcia > Easy win for Brook imo, mighty close on the scorecards. Khan > Get's KTFO again. Bradley > Might win the decision just because he can keep it close and is Timmeh. Vargas > Brook wins rather easily. Porter (Rematch) > rematch and replay. Broner > LOL! That man is 1-2, 0KO at welter and his win is an SD over past it Paulie. Pacquiao > depends on which Pac shows up... how past it is he? Berto > Brook wins an ugly UD. Felix Diaz > Clear and rather easy UD for Brook. maybe late stoppage. Spence > I think Spence is special (not Brook kinda special) and beats him rather easily.
In theory there is these great fights at 147 for kell but there is no guarantee these fights would have or will happen in the future. It's not like all these fighters are queueing up to fight kell. Once kell was offered GGG fight was there in surprise he said yes. He is 30 and wants the big fights. Kell doesn't want to wait around hoping to make the big 147 fights and seeing it all fall down. He and eddie have tried making fights at 147 and have been rebuffed constantly.
they even tried to fight cotto and canelo before even accepting GGG cotto and canelo would be easy fights for brook especially cotto fight.
Brook is an avoided man at 147lbs. He should only come back down if he gets a huge fight. If not fight at 154lbs
