Brook beat Porter and was more then holding his own against Spence until the injury. So I can't see how anyone could say he wasn't an elite WW.

The first Carson Jones fight he toughed it out and the rematch he won comfortably, so I don't see what significance that has to do with him being an elite welter.

They gave jones no time to get ready second time around and everything was in brooks favour weight wise and round wise. And Spence crushed him. There are very few if any fringe level on brooks record at welter. Fact

Career welterweight for 12 years yes 12. With 97% journeymen and a couple of fringers to his name. Then jumps up 2 divisions to fight a monster for money rather than box any and i mean any current relevant decent kids. Jumps back down to be destroyed by a very competent strong welter in Spence. Game over. Never been a elite welterweight because guess what he's only boxed one elite and been crushed. Adios goat f##kers

Yep Wanted everything his own way mate even 10 rounds i think in case he gassed. Bully. Half decent fighter but a bully nonetheless. And nowhere near an elite welter. I'm only being argumentative with asish because he talks absolute nonsense. Apologies to all for hijacking thread in this way

Brook is always a disappointment to me. He chased khan for too long in a packed 147 division. Honestley think his scalp should be a better name on spence jnrs CV.

Outside Floyd and manny i thought Brook would have beaten the rest at 147. He just wasted his peak imo.

Am not big on brook I didn't like the fact he was ok making the weight and waiting around for a big fight when he was fighting trash mandatorys but when he had to fight Spence he was looking for any fight apart from that without it looking like a duck but in the end he did take it and he quit

Brook wasted too much potential development time in his career mainly feasting on 100/0 fights such as Gavin and Jo Jo Dan when he should have been gradually working up to elite level opponents.

When the time came to face the only 2 elite fighters he faced, the gap was far too wide and he was badly pumped.

Now he has a permanently smashed face, his career is now about squeezing money out of PPV mugths with as little damage to face as possible against Amir Khon types.

Because Eh Day declares one a PPV fighter does not mean he is an elite fighter.

Ricky Burns was never an elite fighter and neither is Brook.

Summed up rather more intelligently than i could ever put it. Also if you are allowed to be a bully for most of your career then you eventually become a bully and when it gets tough you are found wanting.
