ive been saying this a lot lately....and they just go along without acknowledging this excuse they made.....such is the typical ggg fan though...make excuses, when it gets proven wrong, just ignore it....

True, although to be fair either way both the Golovkin and anti-Golovkin brigades would find a way to spin the latest news in their favour.

true...either way though I think the anti ggg side has a better argument(of course im 'slightly' biased lol)...but if brook does indeed fight spence at 147 they def have the better argument.....and what if he gets beat by spence in his home country? will ggg fans revert to using "boiling" as an excuse?

 

I always find it funny how guys want to use size when its convenient for them....and use it as an excuse when its convenient

golovkin fans will ignore cottos size and call him a pansy for not fighting golovkin....they'll tell us canelo is really a mw....and that brook is a huge WW that belongs at 154 or even 160...and that spence is def big and should be 154

but andre ward is too big for ggg and its not fair....but chavez somehow wasn't too big for golovkin or canelo?

Well, as a fan of GGG as you know, here's what I think.

1) I don't give GGG any / very little credit for fighting Brook. Good business decision? Yep. But def. not a meaningful fight.

2) I rate Spence highly based on the eye test, despite the fact that he hasn't fought anyone of note yet. I'm actually picking Spence myself, although it's a 50-50 fight.

So it doesn't worry me what happens to Brook at all, I guess it only worries GGG fans who think that the Brook win was worth something legacy-wise.

IMHO Spence and Brook are the two best at 147 lb right now, although I appreciate that there is a case for Thurman and Garcia and the old Pacquaio.

 

I don't understand how people can ***** about this fight, Its a great fight as we still haven't seen just how good either one of them is, It will be very interesting to see how it plays out.

 

I don't think anyone is really complaining...I think all would love to see this

Kell Brook is a natural Super Welterweight, imo. So is Spence. Both dudes dwarf all active welters in size. Brook's body looked INCREDIBLE (way homo) at Middleweight... He didn't look fat or soft. He looked jacked and a natural at the weight. He didn't look like he didn't belong.

 

he still doesn't look right in that picture on Daily Mail site, to me, just does not look healthy at all, but thats just my opinion. Will be even worse now hes gone up to 160 and coming back down. Think win or lose this should be his last fight at 147, unless he can get Thurman/Garcia winner

 

I see where you are coming from. I think low body fat and small chest can make him appear a bit drawn, but I just never thought he had much of a problem. Ever since Carson Jones I think he has been in fantastic shape at welter. The Porter fight was gruelling, yet Brook's fitness and conditioning helped him see it out. Somebody who was drained would have wilted in the championship rounds.

He is probably closest to being a 'natural' junior middle. Maybe even 151 or 152 would be perfect after a good camp (hey, there's Caneloweight why not Brookweight). So I think even though taking off those extra pounds need some dedication, I don't think he suffers for it. On the contrary, I think it helps with the power he carries at welter.

 

I think Brook will deal with Spence. Everyone is making Spence out to be a P4P no1 already let's just calm the hype down shall we lol
