If Brook can maintain and not gas because of weight or any eye problems , I agree he will give Bud a good fight. I don’t think he will beat him but he’s going to be a live dog .
I've a funny feeling Brook could turn the clock back in this fight @ WW he's looking very good. Brook says he's better all round than when he faced Porter & Brook looked it. Brook should not be 8/1 think it's a good bit closer than this.
Kell looks ****ing phenomenal, he's in magnificent shape. Bud is in trouble. Even Timmy was commenting on the size differential in the legs alone. This content is protected
Kell Brook told Crawford that he should see it in his eyes that he's going to beat him. Crawford said how? Your eyes are ****ed up. Then why fight him. :S
Anything is possible and Brook at one time was a very good fighter. His size and possible dedication could have been contributing factors, plus his dangerous decision to fight way above his weight while commendable was also a bad idea. Bud is definitely the favorite in my eyes but hey it’s boxing and anything is possible, and that’s also why we love the sport!!
I sure hope so. Crawford is a no class, foul mouthed ghetto thug with no charisma.. I won’t be shocked if he ends up in prison after his career brook is a heck of a fighter and has way more class. I’m rooting for the Brit in this fight
I have done what I always say not to do and basically written Brook off because I genuinely thought he'd struggle so badly to make 147 but I have to admit he looks fantastic. Great news for Brook fans, this could be a very good if he fights as good as he looks. I'm still going with Crawford but I have to be honest and say I didn't expect Brook to turn up looking like that.
Bud is the favourite for sure, but the odds are ridiculous. It´s been 4 yrs since GGG crushed Brook, 3 and a half since Spence and Brook is still just 34 yo and looks healthy enough for the weight. I´m not betting my house, but just had to put a few e on Brook for those odds.
It does make me laugh have everyone is writing Brook off - swimming in the narrative that he’s shot, his eyes will go, he’s here for a cash out or that he is simply not good enough in the first place. We can explore them: He’s shot - maybe but unlikely for me. I don’t see the evidence to suggest he is. He looked good against Rabchenka and Deluca, sluggish against Zerafe. But the latter is a big light middle/middle who knocked out Horn a year later and Kell ultimately boxed rings around him. He’s 34 of course and the weight cut to 147 might catch up with him. I thought he looked a bit drained at the weigh in but it’s something he will have done a dozens times before and he gets the benefit of not having the rehydration clause. I can only imagine that being drained and then still having to watch his weight for the next 12-15 hours was murder for him previously. Crawford is 33 himself by the way... His eyes will go - maybe but again unlikely. He’s had 20 plus rounds in the ring with no issues plus whatever sparring. For all we know he could have another 41 fights without an orbital injury. It’s just guess work, it’s a fairly unusual injury anyway. There maybe mental demons but again guess work. Cash out - I’m just dismissing this out of sight. Every single report for the last 8 months suggest Brook has been an animal in the gym - his body reflects that. The fact that he is old enough now to make his own decisions and not allow Hearn to nick a few quid off him doesn’t represent a cash out. Hearn couldn’t make this fight with Arum anyway. Ingle said he didn’t want to train abroad and that’s the reason for the split. It’s not a cash out. Simply not good enough - I don’t buy this. I’ve never seen Brook outclassed in the early part of a fight through his whole career. The losses against GGG and Spence were for different reasons. He’s an exceptional boxer with supreme understanding of range, a world class jab and fundamentals. If he can go 12 rounds in good condition I could never see this being a 120-108 job for Crawford. Sure Crawford is an exceptional boxer himself but he can be hit. Brook is also the bigger man and he has lots of experience dealing with awkward styles (switching stances) from the Ingle gym. I expect Brook to be very competitive early. How Crawford handles that and how Brook lasts down the back straight will determine the outcome of the fight. Crawford legitimately hasn’t fought anyone of note at 147 and I would have expected Brook to handle those that he has with the same ease.
