Kell Brook is one of those athletes who'd be the best at whatever sport they played

He's just one of those freak athletes whose gifts would have seen him rise to the top of whatever sport he chose to pursue.

Most people know he was on the verge of signing professional papers with Manchester Utd before deciding to box, and that he had played county cricket and was also unbeaten at international level chess. But by all accounts he was a natural at almost anything he tried his hand at.

He recently defeated the UK fencing champion while filming an ad for Adidas despite never having fenced in his life and was approached by team GB to compete at the 2012 games.

He'a one of just 10 UK sprinters to have run sub 10 seconds in the 100 metres and his first attempt at running the London Marathon this year saw him shave 90 seconds off the women's world record.

As I said, the guy is a freak.

 

Is that true? I never knew that, although I can't say i'm surprised. You just have to be a bit careful with Kell, he's a man surrounded by myth and legend.
