This. Kell got a razor thin decision over Porter and then held the belt hostage and Mortgaged his future by fighting GGG for a quick payday. In the Spence fight he showed no improvement from the Porter fight and was beaten into submission by a superior fighter.

A close win against Porter who is probably the best gatekeeper at WW.

I think he's neither overrated or underrated, maybe by some specific bias fans who attempt to overrate him for ulterior motives, but as far as the boxing world, he's where he should be, a world class fighter who is not proven he deserves to be countend amongst the elite.

Brook is not cut out as the same cloth as the elites. He's a good world level fighter, but hes too flawed, both techinically, and mentally.

It's complicated with Brook. I thought the reign of Mayweather and Pacquiao at welterweight resulted in an adverse effect in that young, unbeaten welterweights like Thurman and Brook had to wait a while for their shot at a world title.

When Brook fought Jennings in 2010, I thought he could be ready for a shot then. But he fought the likes of Matthew Hatton and Lovemore N'dou, winning virtually every round, just as expected. It wasn't until Carson Jones in 2012 that he fought his first competitive fight. And it was clear that Brook didn't dedicate himself fully to boxing. He made amends a year after in the rematch. He was also unlucky with the postponed fights with Devon Alexander.

This however, didn't prevent him from fightings the likes of Jo Jo Dan, Gavin and Bizier. It was clear that Brook wasn't happy that as an undefeated champion, he still wasn't earning the money Khan was. Brook was avoided, but he did a little himself. Cancelling the Chaves fight with an injury, after Klitschko/Fury was cancelled and therefore no longer on PPV?

When he eventually wanted to step up, he did in an epic scale, compensating for the missed opportunities, which left him with two broken orbitals.

His only decent win was against Porter and that was close. Ported has improved but at that stage he was a skilless slugger. He had a couple of good rds against GGG but was butchered in the end. The eye was an excuse against Spence. You don't noticeably gas because you have a sore eye. He gassed because of the beating Spence gave him in the 1st 6 rds. Underated-no. Overrated- yes. Every time he stepped up he was exposed.

the most underrated one eyeed fighter for sure.

Sadly in the kingdom of the blind (ie the kell brook fan club), the one eye man is king.

It's not close to being the same, Khan got KTFO and it was all his fault, with Brook it is different, he has no control on preventing this injury, his eye sockets seem so weak that even Malinaggi could probably fracture it, Spence didnt really land any flush shots on his eye socket and still fractured it.

That is like saying Khan has a pathetic chin that even malignaggi could crack.

Spence bashed him from pillar to post, heck he went life and death with Carson Jones and Senchenko made him do the stanky leg.
