Like I said, the guy is not disciplined. Again, his skill set is not best suited for WW. When he was at LW, he would just run through opponents. That doesn't happen anymore. His punches aren't as effective, he can't simply overpower these bigger fighters.

Rios at this stage of his career is better than the aging Mosely that constantly got top fights and was being passed around as a name to look good against. Rios lost to Pacquiao which most fighters would, and lost a close decision to Alvarado and avenged it in style afterwards. Two losses doesn't make him a bum. I like this potential fight.

    How disappointing.

I get that he will have 3 quick title defenses. That's great. But they will be against 3 fighters that never were and currently are nowhere close to being ranked in the top 10 at WW.

Why does that matter? I and everybody else (except for maybe you) don't remotely care what the sanctioning bodies' rankings are.

They rank a bunch of other completely undeserving fighters as well.

He has looked like trash ever since leaving 135 (before leaving it, actually, starting with what should have been a 120-108 loss to Abril).

He is 2-1 at WW with one win being a sketchy DQ and the other being against a guy who was 0-0 career at WW.

He has lost 2 of his last 4 fights.

He is an unranked WW and nowhere close for a reason.
