You don't have an amateur record of 345-5 unless you're an outstanding boxer.

And Brook was outboxing Spence up until round 7 when the eye went. He knows what he's doing. People act like Brook is average when that simply isn't the case. He showed you could go toe to toe with Golovkin. But this is the thing, he showed you could go toe to toe with a 5 years past-it, walking stick old man version of GGG. I've said this time and time again now. Young, fast GGG absolutely DEMOLISHES all of the guys he's fought so far, including Canelo. We just never got to see that version against top opposition, he arrived too late.

And secondly, people don't give anywhere near enough credit for the win against Jacobs. Yes, it was close. But it wasn't close because Jacobs was a equal or superior boxer. It was close because Jacobs had a fairly big height and reach advantage. For GGG to overcome that, it shows he is an elite, skilled boxer.

These 'limited boxer' comments are absolute nonsense.

Demented man. GGG won both Canelo fights, tightly, but still won never the less. Only a blind man would disagree.

Brook didn’t prove shi*, he got his face butchered in by round 1,and ended up with permanent eye socket damage by round 6. Golvokin clearly said “street fight” that’s what he gave us.

To criticise a fighter of a dying breed, who provides value for money, entertains and dosen’t talk cringey crap or a hoodrat like the vast majority of boxers, only a absolute moron would criticise GGG.

i also don’t think you understand how rigged Las Vegas is. I can actually understand why Joshua and Hearn don’t want to fight Wilder their.

Canelo is probably the last US PPV Fighter their will be. Vegas, MGM, HBO etc all desperately wanted him to win as they profit substantially. The drugged up Canelo is a disgrace just like the corporations backing him. HBO are clearly out of the boxing buisness just looking for a couple of Canelo PPV’s to milk from and MGM Grand and Vegas have lost their prime status as fight capital to London and New York

GGG type of fighter is a dying breed. A Slick, Powerful and Dead Accurate Soviet Union type of Stance/Style.

You can add Canelo to the list also.

Agree about Brook. He had the potential to become Britain’s greatest welterweight. Things went downhill immediately after the win against Porter in 2014, the stabbing, Khan waiting, Brexit all which culminated in him essentially losing his career to GGG.

Notice how none of the top US Fighters called him with intent until after the GGG Fight.

Even if Brook beats Khan, still feels likes a untapped and ultimately wasted boxer.

Did Khan show everyone how you beat Canelo too...obviously before he almost got his head taken off?

That's what everyone thought I think renoso said he only really watched the Jacobs and brook fight. Brook and Jacobs was probably the most skilled fighters before canelo GGG faught. Brook laid the blueprint with uppercut and timing GGG jab. He just was a welterweight and couldn't keep him off.

Brook after the fight did mention (So did jacobs) that GGG is a heavy handed fighter but nothing like special out of this world power they could take his punches.

Back in 2015, Oliver Harrison sent Murray in with a game plan which was to hold the centre of the ring and push him back. He talked about it on the Fight Diciples podcast last week. The blueprint to beat GGG was always there, it’s just that nobody could carry it out without getting busted up by an elite level middleweight. Brook had a few early successes because he brought that speed up from welterweight just like Khan did against Canelo. Look what happened to the pair of them...Khan didn’t fight again for a few years and Brook has had 2 fractured eye sockets and is dwindling around for one last pay day with no interest in fighting for 154 world championship belt. They are shadows of the once brilliant fighters they was.

Canelo isn’t a 154/160 as you describe him either. No way can the lad boil down to 154. He’s only 28 and has grown up ‘physically’ during his career. Imo he lost the first fight with GGG but the second fight was that close you can’t argue with whatever decision.

Your going to use the brook fight as a example of his crazy power going? He Brooke the guy’s face.

I wonder if as both fights had been scored by the official judges as the general consensus, most of these threads had even been made?

    Ah, this myth again.

He almost had Brook out in the first round. He went head hunting and Brook boxed an excellent 2nd round. In the 3rd, Golovkin went back to his jab and took the fight back over before it was stopped. If half your blueprint is only winning 1 round then make sure the other half is hosting the fight in Vegas.

He beat Canelo twice (on mine and most people's cards) and as close as the Jacobs fight was, I'm yet to see anyone justify giving him 7 rounds. If having a close fight with a P4P talent 8 years your junior is being exposed then my word, you must only rate about 5 boxers in the world.

Spot on. It is clearly obvious what the blueprint is to beat GGG, any trainer could tell his fighter what to do, unfortunately though 99.9% of boxers can't do it.

The closest any one has came to doing it (2nd Canelo fight) was when he is clearly slowing down at 36 years of age and many people still thought GGG won.

Brook was making a real fight of it until the injury. If he didn't have Glass Eye sockets it would have been a close fight.

Round 2 vs Golovkin is the most convincing round I've seen anyone take over him, even Canelo and Jacobs didn't win a round as convincingly as that vs him.
