We've seen it time and again with fighters from that region. Their unceasing hype train is arguably the worst in boxing. These people seem to be genuinely unable to stop themselves from hyping any fighter that looks the slightest bit promising (why?). So my question is: will Kell Brook join the majority of his countrymen in the trash bin marked 'british hype'? There he could mingle with the likes of Hatton, Haye, Khan, Hamed, and many others from decades past. In the fights I've seen of Brook he didn't look bad at all (gets hit a little much for my liking though, bad habit while still fighting lower tier). Yet for looking pretty good, he is ALREADY receiving the classic brit Hype treatment. I once heard a quote that "the british love a loser", and I'm starting to think it's true. Don't hype your B+, A- level fights so much... The cycle goes something like this -Prospect gets about 20 fights in, undefeated. Hype train starts moving slowly -Prospect gets about 25-8 fights in against "good" journeymen, undefeated (or one excusable loss). Hype train moving a bit faster -Fighter gets a flashy KO over formerly elite opposition that is past prime. Hype train starts prophesying potential ATG and P4P status -Fighter finally steps up to a TRULY elite level; hype train is in full swing. Inevitable disappointment of an entire country. Cycle resets
Prepare for pages and pages of "Kell Brook - No Blue Print" and "Kell Brook, he a G". That said, I have very high expectations for Brook.
Thats a poor OP, in concept & delivery So many things wrong with that its barely worth responding to but out of curiosity which Brook fights did you watch?
Are you trying to say Kell is not a G? Also are you indicating that there is a blueprint? :blood:blood:blood
