Have no idea. I think TSers are supposed to give links for this stuff.

Maybe we need drug testing for thread starters?

Clearly that was for a previous fight as he would not have completed VADA until the day of the fight. Get it together Lance.

Lol I ain’t crying about, like I said I barely unstandardised it,but you say it’s not just boxing where the athletes have to pay?
Thanks for the reply as I had no idea, learn something new every day eh?
And totally agree about the belt situation and to be honest I’m just as in the dark there, let’s say we go back to Hagler v Hearns, how many belts or organisations were they then?i remember seeing that dark green WBC belt.

No you don’t and to be fair that was a good move and a first, put in perspective Floyd Mayweather when any accusations were flying about could of done the same.

I’ve said my thing about Canelo and drug testing but here and now to sign up for 365 to VADA is the actions of someone knowing they’re clean and will be for the year.

You know my views anyway,I seriously believe it’s just part of modern day sport and it doesn’t bother me one bit,100mtr runners who got caught all said they didn’t view it as cheating, merely levelling the field, either make everyone do what Canelos doing with WADA or make PEDs legal.

I don’t know how Brook made this decision and thought he wouldn’t come under immediate suspicion? Honestly how stupid are some boxers?

Yes Isal but even you got admit it was a very stupid mistake to make considering how things are in Mexico, wether you’re in training or out someone like Canelo should keep away from any barbecues, restaurants he doesn’t know and same with butchers.
How often have you heard folk say they don’t mind Canelo and love to watch him but can’t stand his team?its as if they purposefully try and make him look an idiot when they should have his back.
For instance we know now Canelo was never frightened of Golovkin and he wanted to fight him after Khan only for Oscar to advise against and drop his belt,to be called a ducked with his resume is laughable but that’s what happened and now this with someone on his team who was a butcher and should of known better.
Canelo makes his team millions, least they can do is look out for him no?

I don't doubt that there is a large number of top level fighters that are juicing. I feel that the only way to prove that you're a clean fighter in todays world is to be tested year round and I'm very glad that Canelo has signed up for it.

Hopefully GGG decides to do 365 testing as well and together with Canelo set the bar higher making boxing a more respectable sport.

Could be more to this though, who is the WBC champ at 154lb?im guessing it’s Jermell Charlo right,Brook as brave as he is,hasn’t moved up to make a proper go of it,he’s well entitled to another tune up at the weight but after this he’s gonna have to fight one of the big boys like a Hurd,Charlo ect........just looks like he’s waiting to fight Amir Khan is my opinion.
Regardless I’m not trying to make any excuses as I’ve always suspected he was juicer anyway.

Absolutely and I just remembered only a moth ago Spence was dropped from WBC for refusing WADA,someone asked Floyd about it at ringside and his response was so funny and hypocritical when he said “all boxers should sign up for WADA if they ain’t hiding anything”lol it’s like he forgot about how he handled it.

You have your narrative Andrew, and I have mine.

What Canelo did with the WBC title is similar but more justified than what Golovkin did with the IBF mandatory.

Canelo said he wasn't going to allow an organization like the WBC dictate how he should negotiate and when he needs to fight someone. Golovkin said the exact same thing regarding the IBF and the WBC.

Canelo has a great team. GBP made Canelo into a mega star athlete and the sole cash cow below HW and one of two cash cows in boxing without speaking a lick of English. His trainers have gotten him this far, have helped him become a 2 division champion, 3 time world champion, and has fought against the best fighters at 154 and 160.

Canelo was also advised very well as to how to handle the tainted meat situation. No other fighter has ever done a HFT and enrolled for year round random testing with VADA. huge credit to Canelo and his advisors.

Golovkin on the other hand has doesn't have the best advisors. They failed to get him the best fights, they have failed to help him achieve a much better legacy, they marketed him as an undefeated unbeatable fighter and as a result he doesn't take huge risks, he has been hypocritical and has contradicted himself multiple times, and despite all the press barely cracked 1.3 million viewers on Cinco de Mayo in Los Angeles on free HBO.

VADA is great and all, but unless your on a 365 program you can cycle in between fights. For all we know GGG is cycling in between rounds, hopefully after his fight with Canelo he signs up for VADA's 24/7/365.

Get it together? Did you not see where I said I wish it had more details?

WTF are you adding to the convo, aside from playing PR for Canelo and acting like a smart ass?

More details about what? It said he completed the program, with a little common sense you should understand that its referring to a previous fight, not this one.

Here’s a serious question for you; if you’re a fighter and you’re convinced that many, if not most, other fighters are doping then what’s your incentive to prove yourself clean?
