few things floating around Twitter. Dominic ingle tweeted that there was a new journey starting tomorrow, (being today) Kell brook at the same tweets 'there's no truth' Then there's rumours he's leaving matchroom to go to BT to fight Khan because Khan wants nothing to do with matchroon. Kell talking about 'truth' is he talking about Errol 'the truth' Spence?
Thats clearly THE fight at 147 - IF Kell can still safely make that - he looked in unbelievable condition at 160 I reckon his days there may well be finished and he's now a 154 fighter (which would make both those tweets make sense)
The last time Brook made 147lbs was on the day of the weigh-in against Kevin Bizier. He has since been 160lbs and above. His body is older. His face got smashed in by a monster puncher and he has since balooned to around 170lbs. Can he safely make 147lbs these days? Will he have the strength? Remember he not only has to lose water weight, fat but also the extra muscle mass that he gained for Golovkin. Forget Khan (who is semi-retired and doesnt need the money anyway) and go make a solid showing at 154lbs as I feel 147lbs is beyond him now.
I personally want Brook to leave 147lbs. Yes there are some potential big fights but why kill yourself to make weight. 154 would be ideal for him even though the division doesn't have the same star names.
Amir khan fight for a decent pay day then move up a weight or 2. brook Khan would be a good earner in the UK. I want him to fight Spence think I will be left dissapointed with that. but in this era of the sport it's all about money and business and an easy night against Khan on home soil makes more sense than a very tough one against Spence if he's guna move up a weight after it anyway
Kell Brook and Errol Spence should really move to 154. I think that would be their ideal weight class so we would get the best fight from both of them there. I do worry about Brook coming back down to 147, but he has a good team around him so I think they'll prepare him for whatever he decides to do. I don't think Brook is going to be leaving Matchroom solely for a fight with Amir Khan. I think he's going to stay right where he is.
The two Tweets hint at a move to LMW. Ingle refers to a 'new journey' and Brook Tweeted after 'there's no truth', which I'm reading to mean no fight with Spence because of the 'new journey' at 154. But that's no duck, I was surprised Kel talked about going back to 147 after taking his body through a training regime to make 160. He would only go back to 147 for Khan I think, because it's an easy night's work even if he would be weight-drained. Weight drained against Spence, on the other hand, is not a fair fight. Khan is a busted flush, although if I'm right and Brook is moving up, it will take Amir all of five minutes to Tweet Kel moved up to duck him... lol
He ducked Spence 100%, you clowns throw around the term duck left and right yet, have NO idea what a duck even is. Spence was Brooks Mando, Brook took a fight with ggg, a fight he had zero chance of even being competitive in instead of facing Spence. Now Spence wants HIS belt AND guess what, Brook is trying to lure khan into a fight so he can fool the idiots like you, fighting khan for "personal" reasons instead of facing his Mando. Not saying the Spence fight is exactly like the ggg fight where brook accepted the L instead of a very tough Spence fight. I just don't believe brook can last against Spence with that repaired eye, once cracked again it's over
I reached 'clown' and stopped reading. It is indeed true I wear massive and somewhat ungainly shoes, but this genetic anomaly has its advantages...
What are you talking about. The mando for Brook v Spence was never called by the IBF so Brook did not fight GGG over Spence. Now there was nothing to stop Al Haymon offering Brook the Spence fight before the mando was called but guess what that offer never came.
It could be that he's fighting his mando Spence next which has been rumored for a while now since he stated he was staying at 147. But if I were him I'd go with Khan first, make a big payday, whoop his ass in the process then fight Spence after, going into the fight with some momentum making the Brook-Spence fight bigger imo.
