Kell Brook says whaz up to Spence wants to fight him at 154

What about 160? Kell looks like he needs to lay off the choclut brownehz between fights.

Brook needs to take a couple easy fights to adjust post-Golovkin. Golovkin ruined his career, I do admire Brooks though, he has balls the size of church bells!

 

Not sure why a title would be required, Brook would easily be the biggest payday available for Spence Jr. Brook made £3 mill from the first fight which means if they fought with the normal 75/25 split, Spence Jr made £1 mill. The rematch might be more lucrative and with Spence Jr winning the first fight you'd expect he makes more this time in the rematch. He could be looking at a $3-4 mill payday compared to the $1.2 he made against Peterson.

Obviously Spence Jr knows it wasn't an easy fight first time around and this time he might not injure Brook and Brook might not fade at 154lbs like he did at 147lbs. It's a dangerous fight for Spence Jr. Brook could of ducked him and moved up but chose to give him his shot despite the weight issues. It's a shame Spence Jr is reluctant to do the same.

 

I wasn't sold on Spence before the fight and Kell exposed some flaws in his game for sure. Whenever I see a fighter with a wide stance like Spence I question their movement and we saw that in the Brook fight. He can't really fight effectively off the back foot, when Brook was pushing him back he struggled as he can't really move out of the way.

I hope the rematch happens. The first was a quality fight with quality world class skills on display. I expect another close affair if it does happen. Spence is no push over despite his flaws and to rule him out at the higher weight would be a mistake.

 

I'm a big Brook fan, but what Errol is saying stands to reason. Spence has a 147lb division to clear up. In the meantime, Kell is looking to gain some real standing at 154lb. If both these guys get their respective jobs done, the fight will make good darn sense for everybody in around 18 months or so. Kell knows it, too, he's just jawing for the fun of it.

Spence should do what he needs to do at 147 although I do think he will struggle to get them big fights.

Kell just concentrate on winning at 154.

Their first fight was one of the best WW clashes I've seen in quite some time. It was very competitive up to the point Brook started to suffer visual issues.

If he's fully healthy, I'd love to see them fight again at 154 lbs. I can see Spence's perspective about wanting Brook to capture a title first, but even in a non-title match it would be a great action packed fight between two high level boxers.

 

I love both these guys and until the eye went their 1st fight was really good. If they fight then that cant be anything but good news for all of us. If they dont then we get treated to both of them fighting other people. Im more a Brook fan with him being a fellow countryman but after a good start from Brook Spence seemed to be getting a feel for him and definatly wrestling control of the fight from him with a fair portion of the fight left. But everybody seeing it their own way, some saying Spence needed the credit for smashing Brooks eye, some saying he only did it cuz it were already weak. Would be great if they did it again.

But as for Brook talking why need a belt, i think if your not dangling a belt at Spence then the American has a good point, why go Sheffield? Spence already done that once, do it in America.

Great fight but Spence is right, brook should get a title. There is no reason for Spence to move up right now to face Brook.

 

I saw this early and it's ridiculous that Brook is demanding the fight to take place in Sheffield.

He's not the champ so what is with the ridiculous demands?

You fight Spence on his turf since you are the one begging for a shot.
