Feel bad for the guy, 36-0 before he stepped in the ring with Golovkin and then his face got broken and it has all been downhill since then.

Brutal punchers ruin careers. It's like how Meldrick Taylor never recovered from the first Chavez fight.

Brook tried hard tonight, but it looks like the Golovkin fight has put his career in permanent decline.

It only takes one bad fight to effectively end someone's career.

It's not about the eye, I think you misunderstood what I wrote.

It's about the complete damage, both physical and psychological. Going from being unbeatable to being demolished and battered.

I'm not talking about a cut or a particular eye swell. It's about the total trauma.

Again, Chavez-Taylor 1. After that fight, Meldrick was done.

I think Brook is done, and Golovkin ended him.

We've all seen it before. That one fight that just takes your soul and dismantles your body permanently.

There is a real risk in fighting someone like Golovkin. I think what is happening now with Brook is a good example of the price that is sometimes paid if someone steps into the ring with a puncher like Golovkin.

Hearn should never have matched him with Golovkin. It was a completely stupid and unnecessary fight.

    Yep.

    Big mistake.

Fighting GGG, for anyone, is a risk. But moving up in weight (or going up in weight) to fight him? That's just asking for permanent damage.

Golovkin has ruined so many careers

Brook put up a fantastic show tonight, but it soon beccame obvious G had damaged him beyond repair

Great fight anyway.... now let's not see swollen nips move up and take on the Karaganda Black Belt 1st Dan

Tonight proved actually that he needed to step up.

He just ran before he learned to walk.

When you look at it now, asking someone like Thurman, Porter or even Pac (lol) to step up and fight GGG and you'd just laugh.
