my friend gareth couch trains with them now,he has become extremely sharp after a few months with them..
Cheers, was there not a rule that you didnt get to punch anything till you learned your "lines" ? Maybe was more for the kid's, not Pro's coming in etc
I think that kind of sparring loses some of the benefits. I don't think it does much for your toughness in taking a few solid blows. Also how can you know if you are timing shots correctly if you are tippy tapping guys on the gloves? It just lacks any kind of intensity. I prefer the James Toney old school sparring. Call your sparring partner a *****, cuss out his mom and give each other a good going over without trying to knock each other out.
I remember in Oz at the time, the local paper was reporting back on his sparring with Toney. Got to wonder though, why Green dosent use his range more, im pretty sure when i saw him fight he kept his punches short and stood in front of them. Just likes a fight i guess
I'm sure it helps his strength and inside know how to stand there with Toney. Toney is the master there. Green did a good job, even though Toney was clowning around and clearly had the upper hand when he wanted to.
