Exactly. Pep inherited the best team in the league and bet spend 200 mil more in the same time. Chelsea/Man Utd 6/700 mil more, Arsenal 350 mil more. They should all be embarrassed by them stats.

Pep inherited best team and richest team in Germany too and that Barca team was already being called the best ever when he took over.

What’s Alonso done though. One good season with Sociedad. Half a good season with Leverkusen. I loved him as a player but it’s mad all the fans are turning their noses up at Gerrard. Alonso is same level for me at moment, they’ve both not done anything at all.

Defo don’t want De Zerbi. Chris Hughton and the now ridiculed Potter did all the hard work for him. They were absolutely flying already. I don’t think De Zerbi has took them to the next level like everyone makes out at all.

Callum Smith isn’t a fave of mine at all. Difference between seeing soemthing in a fight where you think someone can stop someone and seeing Eubank for what he is a crude, unfit, yes blowing hard and taking 90 secs of rounds off against journeymen, well matched myth. Thumbs up.

No pep inherited a Barcelona team who finished 3rd in La Liga with 18 points less than Real Madrid. In his first season he had to revamp a squad that lost all motivation. Won the treble and went on to create the greatest club football side the world has ever seen. If you can't see what a genius Pep is than you are just hating on the guy. Also the Barca team rijkardd created even at it's best was not being called the greatest club side ever. Pep's era was when the team were playing ridiculous football on a weekly basis. For me the greatest team I have ever seen and still beats any of City teams under Pep

Ask the Bayern fans, players and directors how Bayern was as a football team compared to when Ancelotti replaced him.

As for City, care to explain to me why with the most money and greatest resources why could the likes of Mancini and Pellegrini not turn city into this absolutely beast of a football side.

Its okay to label Pep and Klopp both as two of the greatest ever. You don't have to take part in childish tribal wars over a frickin manager comparison. Be happy that Pep and Klopp created the two best premier league sides ever seen and gave the public multiple title races with a level of consistency and quality never seen in this country when two teams fighting for the title

Nah Alonso way ahead of Gerrard. If you simply base it on the way both managers setup teams with style of play and tactical awareness Alonso is much better choice. Villa was a disaster for Gerrard. It's mad any fan would consider Gerrard as Liverpool manager now. I can't see anyone else getting the job unless Alonso turns it down.

If you want a manager we has won titles etc etc I really think you would struggle to name two managers who are the right fit and achievable to get.

Let’s hope Stevie G gets given the job, because it would be hilarious to see them lose 20 games in a row.

Definitely seems to be some kind of PR momentum behind his sudden hatred of Eubank Jr.

Yeah Leverkusen are brilliant I think they have the best overall stats of any European team. They are 11/2 for the Europa league my brother bet on them yesterday.

Regarding Gerrard he done a great job at rangers.

What’s Alonso done? Why is he this shoe in? I don’t see why the clamour for him other than he played for Liverpool.

Alonso has taken a Leverkusen team from the bottom quarter of the league and providing a real title challenge to the German Giants Bayern Munich. Also playing great attacking football that is really worth watching when they appear on Sky Sports.

Your question is valid - he needs to get over the line and win the title like Jurgen Klopp did with Dortmund.

A huge ask for any manager in Germany.

Expect Bayern to sign a few Leverkusen players this summer. They’re notorious for stripping their closest challengers of their best players when they’re on top. Firstly it was the old Leverkusen side with Ballack, Ze Roberto & Lucio, then Dortmund with Gotze, Lewandowski & Hummels, then Leipzig with Sabitzer, Upamecano & Laimer and now it will be back to Leverkusen.
