Kell brook talking of coming back

Some great players in the current Leverkusen team - I really rate Boniface, Frimpong and Wirz but they are all playing well.

Xhaka has also had a great season after leaving Arsenal.

 

Watched that last night, I thought Jordan was ripping into him far more than others he’s had on. For me Brook came out of it looking even slower than I thought he was beforehand.

 

I thought the same about Jordan giving him a bit of a harder time. I only listened so couldn’t see body language but Brook didn’t sound like his old self. Sounded down.

 

Very good team them. We had them beat in the Champs League Quarters and Houllier threw it away with dodgy decisions late on. Would have been a semi with the Mancs…. Oof.

 

I know what he’s done. I just don’t think it’s anywhere near enough to make someone odds on fave for this kind of job. There is a big lack of options though.

 

Roy Hodgson is free at the end of the season and Michael Beale could be free soon as well.

Both equally capable of achieving zero success if they stayed as Liverpool manager for 50 years.

That was low point for them making him their manager nearly 15 years ago even just for the 6 months he lasted. I couldn’t believe it when he got given the England job too, especially after the crap job he did for the reds.

I agree that it’s going to be a tricky replacement due to lack of suitable people.

Brooks strong defence of khan's failed drug test was interesting.

 

I think he was just being honest, I wasn’t that surprised by it. It’s not like Khan is in the Conor Benn relms and I despise drugs in boxing.

 

Go up to Sheffield and give him a knock mate.

 

Would have been a total boss move if after he beat Khan he had fought Benn and derailed Hearn’s next golden welterweight and then retired.

2 years is a long time in boxing
