I know people there and lads doing the pyrotechnics and special effects and I can confirm this to be inaccurate

only problem for Brook (for him personally, obviously not saying Spence isnt a problem) is the weight. if making 147 was hard before, making 147 after fighting and getting stopped at 160 is gonna be a lot harder.

in boxing terms, i agree, complete win-win, but i think in terms of health, it was a colossal risk, as we found out. a broken eye socket is no joke

You've cracked it mate. I think with Haymon matching Garcia with Thurman, Khan's big fight outlook is grim. It looks like Mayweather and Pacquiao will fight again, and Cotto is with Roc Nation who don't do business with Haymon. I beleve Haymon's way out of this will be to persuade Khan to fight Brook to get Brook away from the IBF title.

I've asked a few people to name a time when one of Haymon's superstars or potential superstars took such a big risk for the short end of the purse and nobody can name a time.

Brook does work with some of the top sports scientists in the world (who are behind Team GB at the Olympics) so I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. I doubt it will be any harder for him than it is for say, Canelo, to make 154.

Did you just start watching boxing 4 months ago? Before he fought triple G Brook was going on a bum tour. And Spence is his mandatory, it's why he's fighting him.

Not at all. Spence has stated over and over that he wants the strap.

I'm very happy Brook has taken this stance, Brook will have to kill himself to make 147 but whatever is said and whatever happens it sounds like Brook isn't going to vacate and duck his mandatory like many said he would, Brook isn't pulling a "Canelo".

Another part of this is will Haymon allow Spence come to the UK and take the mandatory %? Because Hearn and Sky will win the purse bid if it goes that far, after the Golovkin PPV event and rise in Brooks profile they will invest in Brook.

If I was Spence's promoter I'd have serious concerns about going to the UK, I'm British but some of the decisions and refereeing performances here have been nothing short of disgusting, it could be a very very tough night just battling the judges, referee and all that comes with fighting away from home.

If Spence does go another way I won't call it a duck, I'd be sure it was Haymon who steered him away from Brook and the UK.

and where did I say spence doesn't want the fight. I said the actual opposite.

what some of us are interested in is al haymon's next move. does he send Spence to the UK for 25% split or does he wait for kell to fight pacman or hopefully khan so he vacates.

like I said before, khan and his team were adamant that kell vacated his belt when in talks last year.

Haymon had a plan for Spence to get the IBF Title while avoiding a fight vs kell a long time ago.

They would be silly not to take it. Great exposure. While not massive coin, they can consider it an investment. And even if Spence was to lose, there is no disgrace in losing to Brook - who give Golovkin a very tough fight.

I honestly think brook is one of the rare ones that will truly fight anybody, Spence is not your average mandatory, people are legit talking about him likes he would beat everybody at 147 already, I am not 100% convinced of that but hes for sure one of those rare prospects that all the current champions want to avoid like the plague at this point.

Thurman and porter will also fight anybody, Not only are they willing but they WANT to fight the best. Everybody wants to fight the best when they have a low ranking, people like thruman, porter, brook want to fight the best while they are still or were in porters case champion, Most of the other fighters want the easiest defense they can get.

Brook vs spence is an absolute cracker of a fight for me,

Its a big risk on both sides but also a huge reward on both sides, Spence would become champ and brook would beat the most talked about up and coming prospect in the divsion, like i said before spence is no ordinary mandatory a win for brook over Spence is a big deal.

I am not 100% sold on either fighter but also believe we haven't seen the best of either fighter thus making this one hell of a match up.
